when will the iphone se 4 release this week? it's already been 9:00 pt and 12:00 pt monday which is the regular release time/date that apple takes for non-event releases. what's going on?

There was never an official announcement saying so. So... "soon....".
I’m looking forward to this! A Mac Rumor worth getting excited about. Even if I keep my iphone 13 mini for a while longer it will feel good to have an option to replace it, if needed. … hope to see it announced … “soon”!

Yes, and I usually wait for the Memorial Day specials. However, the M4 MacBook Air needs to be announced, also, and it feels overdue.
Perhaps it's been March historically, but this time the SE 3 was forced out of the European market for not being USB-C, which may have accelerated the release.
Don’t forget the 14/14+ was forced out of the EU Market as well hence why they are doing it early

If the rumours are true (visually similar to the iphone 13 or 14, single rear camera, A18, 8GB ram) I'll grab it and retire my trusty XR which has served me very well for the last 4 years.
Will it be officially announced this week? I doubt it...I think a March release alongside other Apple products is more likely....guess we'll just have to wait and see.

I am also guessing today or tomorrow via press release with preorders on Friday and shipments next week. Then in march they'll do the same procedure for the MBA and the new iPad
I am getting one too. It is essentially to trade in my spare iP X and keep the 12 as a spare phone.
We will be buying one to replace my wife's iPhone 6s Plus. Might buy a second to replace daughter's 8. Wife's battery died for the second or third time last fall and the plan was to replace it and upgrade when the SE4 came out which is hopefully today.
