I don't get why they keep the iPhone 15 lineup, the 16E is cheaper and better in most aspects.

So... should i upgrade from an 14 Pro? I'd like to have the latest chip, action button, USB C and a fresh battery.

According to the Apple Website I will still get 430€ for my 14 Pro, so i could get the 16e for 270€ which sounds like a good deal.

However, I am not sure regarding the camera and display downgrades. I could wait for the 17, but that'll be 950€ AT LEAST plus Apple will surely cut down trade-in values for the 14 Pro. So I am expecting at least 700€ for a new iPhone 17.

Nah, that's too expensive for me... i had the original SE and a XR since years now, and for both i paid less than 400€ each. Now it has doubled the price if you want an entry iPhone that is up to date.

I will go for one of the Pixel Budget Phones, they offer 7 years of full updates and those who don't want AI and surveillance can easily install grapheneOS.

Gonna use my XR until the battery dies, but I won't take pat in this insane price politics for a stupid thing like a smartphone. If we are honest, they all do the same and AI is not a killer application, more an annoyance.
