I was actually planning on moving to orange in Jan even before they announced the iphone availability but this did hinge on me being able to get enough data in the deal. I wanted to move as the voice network in london seems to be best on orange in terms of contention. 750MB fair use means I will probably be staying at O2. My last bill showed over a GB of data use.

It isn't legal at all.
It's just very hard to prove it as companies don't make written contracts when dealing in them
