I presume in the end that at least half of the apps on the AppStore will not get updated for a year or two. Some apps have taken over a year to implement fingerprint recognition for your login credentials. Now with Apple dropping that and switching to facial recognition, I’m sure the app developers are thinking what next, and just avoiding recoding their app to fit both Apples poor choice of screen redesign and facial recognition. Just imagine all the apps that haven’t been updated in a year or more....don’t hold your breath waiting for updates for the iPhone X. I’ve usually updated to the latest iPhone within a year of release but I’m sticking with my 6s until Apple show some consistency with the design of their phones and how one interfaces with them. I am not just a “lite” user of my iPhone...it’s just not worth the hassle to the users or developers. Remember, being on the bleeding edge does have its drawbacks.
