I had this problem with a previous iPhone. Don’t remember the model. It eventually went away. I think it was glue settling due to the recent production of them or something like that. But it’s under warranty. Take it to an Apple Store. That doesn’t sound normal.
The fact that you couldn’t tell my post was completely trolling, is the real crimeThis is the kind of in depth analysis I come here for. I was hesitant, but the extra "l":s in "realllly" sealed it for me.
Do u need to hold before u can unlock?can't get face ID to work on a desk but not a deal breaker for me.
So you always love absolutely everything in every product you buy from Apple, or is it that you're not allowed to dislike anything? What if @booksbooks doesn't like iPhone 8's bezels? What should he/she buy then?
Some tend to find more wrong with a product versus appreciate everything it has to offer. Attitude and perception are everything when it comes to truly enjoy something you want. But I also not everything is perfect either.
These kinds of things are to be expected with a new design... it's different, and will take some "getting used to"... I see this stuff as "growing pains".

So no battery % displayed on the home screen? Seriously?
You realize that tint shift is a known problem with all OLEDs.
Where IS the Taptic Engine used now? I haven’t heard this discussed at all.
Using apps in landscape, specifically Mail, looks ridiculous. With a longer display, the two pane design used on the "Plus" iPhones would make even more sense, but for some reason they chose to just make everything longer.
... thus the decision to not display the battery level percentage...
Overall I love the phone. The notch is a bit annoying. And I keep trying to press the home button, even though there is none. I am surprised at how small it is. I figured if Apple were to do an edge to edge display. They would go big or go home. But I guess not.
Another confusing design choice is the time being in the left “ear” even though all digital watch faces on the Apple Watch place the time on the top right. When you are using an app on the Watch, the time is even further into the top right.
So now I’ve got to train my brain to look top left on my phone, centered on lock screen, top right on my Watch.
And I was surprised at how big it was. I knew by the measurements that it was slightly bigger than the 7, but it feels more bigger than I expected. Not unwieldy, but definitely heading that way.
You can swipe up once you get the X's to show up.
Yeah. I think I saw in the keynote that they did extensive testing to make sure that desks couldn’t fool the system. But I guess it depends on how much you resemble your desk.
I had a 7 Plus and now the X. I am thrilled with the phone .. love it .. but I cannot type a single word without a mistake. The keys are so small. I don't know if it is due the 7 Plus vs. X or if it is just an "X thing". But typing correctly is difficult. I need to use the predictive text more ...
