Some more issues to post:
  • The iPhone X is simply not a good landscape phone. It is not wide enough to do it well at all. The keyboard stretches, keys get thinner... no Plus interface mode in Apps like Mail and Notes... user interface elements seem weird in terms of their scaling and how close they are to the edge of the screen... content area of Apps is very limited because the phone isn't wide enough...
  • The keyboard is small. Smaller than the Plus phones. It makes typing harder.
  • Video sucks. The letter boxing all around makes the usable viewing area small.
  • Face ID not possible in landscape mode? I've been trying, and it won't work. It's annoying.
  • Buttons too close to each other. For instance, the mute switch is too close to the top volume button.
[doublepost=1509755247][/doublepost]Apple, is this the standard iPhone X size, and next year we get a Plus or what? This doesn't cut it... what a reversion. The screen real estate isn't there on the iPhone X folks. It needs more screen real estate as it's too narrow and the notch, combined with the rounded corners, screw up a lot of content. What the hell were they thinking...

That Big, vertical camera bump
although it's now concealed with Apple leather case.but still I absolutely hate that, it kinda ruined the design of the phone and looks so out of places like it's a part from a different device.just bad.

Also lack of battery percentage..

And the battery life is not good (but I need more time to comment on that)
Battery life won’t be as good as normal when you first set up the phone. It’s indexing and doing all kinds of stuff, so give it a couple of days before you start judging the battery.

I don't like fact faceID only works with one person. I want my wife and kids to be able to unlock my phone with their faces!

Wish batter percentage was displayed without going to control center.

Other than that, I love this new phone. Notch does not bother me at all.

I love the hardware. I don’t mind the notch or camera bump at all. My only complaints are software-related, which could be fixed in an update if Apple wanted: I don’t like how you can’t swipe up once in the multi-tasker to close apps, hitting the X for each app is a pain. I also don’t like the keyboard space at the bottom and the lack of battery percentage in the corner. Otherwise, it’s great!

You can swipe up to kill apps after you long pause on one of the apps and the red x appears.

With this off it now works

I don't have these options in my menu. Any idea why?

Useable screen size is definitely smaller than on the plus.

Missing the swipe up to close apps. Takes longer now.

Netflix seems to run slow and clunky on my X and the shows don’t come close to filling the screen. Disappointing and I’m debating whether it’s worth it to keep the phone or just take another year with my 7+.

I have a 3 year old so pretty much any time he plays with my phone I have to close 20 apps.
Okay. Are you closing apps you don't want him to access or are you closing apps he's opened? Just making sure you aren't force closing apps based on the various myths that exist about doing so :)

A potential bug, right now my iPhone X 256GB won’t charge over 82% it’s like stuck there, haven’t restarted yet because iCloud is still restoring. I hope this goes away after a restart, could also be a bug in iOS 11.1

If you hold the "page" for a second it will enable the delete button, then you can swipe up to delete it without letting go.

No problem for me.

Overall love my X, truely the best phone I’ve ever owned. Only complaints so far are cramped data on the notches (battery % indicator included ehh not include the % inside the battery icon itself?), closing out apps now is actually tedious, and I’d prefer to be able to have more than 1 face for Face ID.

Even if the real reason for just 1 face is that it would slow the unlocking system down, that should be my decision to make not Apples.

I already don’t miss the home button and wouldn’t be surprised if it is removed from every iOS next year.

Thanks for the heads up. This is a deal breaker for me as my phone sits on my desk all day and I don't pick it up while I use it.
I got two different conductive charger's just to accommodate this -- lay-down type for at home and an upright charger for at work.

has anyone elses got really hot on the top at the back? Mine was really cooking during set up
Mine got warm.

While not as fast, passcode will still work for them.

Maybe Touch ID spoiled me, but I’m not too fond of the double click if my X is already unlocked to activate Apple Pay. Maybe this was done to mimic Apple Pay on Apple Watch? But theoretically it makes sense if your X was unlocked or authenticated already with Face ID you’d essentially be paying with every pass by any random NFC terminal. Or why not just re-authenticate with a pop up Face ID confirmation screen? It just felt like an extra step if that makes sense.

Yeah, do a Google search for Pixel 2 XL screen problems. I guess this is an OLED problem. I don’t really mind as the OLED in general looks great.

I was really put off by that extra space at the bottom of the keyboard. I don’t mind the notch at all, in fact I think it gives the phone a distinctive character. But the empty space at the bottom of the keyboard looks so amateurish. Hate to bring up this cliche, but Steve would not have wanted this. There’s no way.
Can you or somebody post a screenshot of what you guys are talking about?

Thanks

See: pudcraft's thread

and the pictures he posted. Sure looks like a battery icon in the upper right.
Why do I need to look at someone else’s phone pictures when I have the phone in my hand?
I said lack of battery percentage not just the battery indicator..meaning the exact digits followed by % are now gone because of the notch and lack of space.
