My X has been lagging a little since the 11.1.2 update, the today screen is especially bad it sticks for a second or more before I can scroll away from it. I’m experiencing some occasional keyboard lag too. The X was silky smooth to operate when I first got it.

does the lag go away if you rebooted?

I started from new on this phone. First time since I dont even know maybe iPhone 4? I dont know how much weird things transferred over from previous jailbreaks on other phones basically but my 7+ so I wanted fresh.
I updated the 7+ to ios11 and it made the phone much slower and the 7+ was blazing fast when I first got it. So I decided to go fresh and the X has been crazy fast. Things are smooth and instant.
I think you know what you should try by this point...

Mine lags also, sometime it just freezes for a second while opening an app. I've even had apps just completely freeze and force close themselves as well. In all honesty it happens about the same as it did on my 7+, so I think it's just iOS.

My iPhone X lags a lot, every single time I try to rearrange apps there’s a delay in moving them. Also lags every time I scroll through today view. And various other times... updated to latest iOS, X silver 256

Mine lags as well.

i have a slight lag also when loading springboard.. after swipe up unlock...and occasional keyboard lag... arrggg

I actually want to add to this, I'm noticing it too on my iPhone X a lot. Simple things from leaving a folder and waiting for the touch to respond or lighting up the screen which results in me getting impatient and double clicking the side button to bring up ApplePay.

I have the 256 GB White Version, and it honestly felt like it wasn't an issue until iOS 11.1.2

I decided to restore the phone last night and set up as a new phone. Spent so much time resetting everything back up and today it's still doing it. I wasted all that time :(

Anyway I'm glad I"m not the only one experiencing it. Hopefully Apple patches this soon.

I’ve found mines been similar recently. There seems to be lagging slightly with animations, when unlocking, and the first animation to the home screen in particular, annoying, as it was amazingly smooth when I first started using it.

same here, after first setup it was extremely fast, now I have like 30-50 Apps (with the presinstalled) and it seems slower.

Swiping the Home Screen from left to right somtimes etc. not as smooth as it was.

Using 11.2 Beta 4 and clean install.
Maybe some App is causing it... I dont know.... but it sucks...

Just look at the front page ;)
Stories about some issues here or there that appear with pretty much any version (and in the past were often even about lock exploits or other security issues among other things)?

Yes its not as fluid as expected...
Mine is setup as new 256 storage...
My apps is so less...
I have been out of ios for a while my last iphone was iphone6...
Im using pixel xl og as backup fone... there are times animations in pixel is more fluid....

Mine lags for 1-3 seconds quite often when I go back a page in safari I have to wait before I it will scroll down

I get freeze ups all over the place on a daily basis. One of the worst offenders is Safari.

If I swipe back a page and try to scroll, the page is unresponsive for a couple of seconds. Happens nearly all the time.

The keyboard also regularly fails to pop up when tapping in a text box.

Same here. Sometimes apps freezing for some seconds.

And this stuttering / laggy movement from time to time on the Home Screen is annoying. When will Apple fix this?

When I think back to my iPhone 6S Plus ok iOS 10... it was so smooth.

This thread is about iPhone X. You seem to be in the wrong place.

iPhone X doesn’t lag. OP needs to set up their device as new.

Your comments don’t help the OP understand or solve their problem.

Yes it does. I have tested multiple iPhone X in the Apple store.

Apple usually waits one or two major iOS releases before slowing down the device.

Looks like they're starting earlier this time.

this seems like an issue that will be fixed when the iphone X-2 comes out next year. it is what it is, it's a first generation iphone X model, and apple will fix those issues when the next iphone X comes out
