Nope, I'm saying that it's way too early to make a decision on a phone no-ones had any chance to use. You apparently feel you don't need to even think about that.

Don't blame me, these are YOUR words.
Based on my previous experiences since that's what the OP asked in the thread.
"What you think, which one is better phone overall?"

But you've no previous experience with the S9 either.

Beside, I never even said this thread made any point - hence my post much earlier.

Your comments just affirm my original stance.

How could I have experience with the S9? That's the point of the discussion. People will give their OPINION based on their previous experiences.

In the long run! Both of these devices are very overpriced! However if you can afford to drop $1k on a phone, the iPhone is going to last longer than the Galaxy S9, thus giving you more bang for your buck.

You don’t know how long an S9 will last, it’s not even out yet. And there’s a £300 price difference between an S9 & a 256gb X.

So, it's fair to give an opinion on a device that's been in the wild for 2-3 months versus one that no-ones seen.

Got it.

That's something you should argue with the OP not me. I simply stated my opinion.

Based on...? Your most recent purchases seem to be both Samsungs. You'd not be biased would you? If so, then that's fine, but it would be nice for you to have stated it. It provides context to your opinion.

Money definitely is a consideration for many. If you’re OS agnostic, I would say S9 because better specs for less $. Alright, no dual cameras, but you still get more for your buck: better screen, more software features, FP sensor, Iris Scanner, quick charge built in natively, a nicer build quality and looks, no notch, a headphone jack.

IMO .... Anyone that owns a Note 8, would put their money on the S9/S9+ being one of the top phones of 2018. Note 8 has been close to flawless, so the S9/S9+ should be as well. Nowadays, Samsung likes to stick to the foundation of previous models, and just refine a new release.

I can be biased to my own opinion just like everyone else.

And I was responding to OP.

That being said, the X is a better experience than the 8 or 8+ with some minor inconveniences compares to both.

X is the best iPhone hands down. The S9+ may not even be better than the Note 8 because that phone has similar specs, just no stereo speakers or faster processor.

Android is basically an ugly copy of iOS at this point. The iPhone X looks so amazing, but the notch is really holding it back! Off of pure aesthetics the S9 wins, however the iPhone X will be supported longer and has better, more useful features, giving you the best bang for your buck!
Lol they are (iOS & Android)very different so I don't agree.

depends what you value and what OS you like.

Still think if android is your favourite you are better off with a pixel.

Obviously for me the iphone x is the clear winner for my needs.

The S9 is a complete package in your hand. It has basically everything of the best that the technology can offer. The iPhone X is a pretty piece of glass with an handicaped OS which main purpose is to keep you in Apple's ecosystem.
I'd choose the S9 without a doubt.

Do describe this package? Touch wiz is still gimmicky and I’d like to know more about this “package”

That used to be the case, but nowadays they’re moving closer and closer to each other.
Yeah, but they still aren't there. For one, Siri is awful compared to Google asst.
On iOS you still can't share from any app or website, the no back button still an issue. Still cant customize like you can on Android . No homepage, just big icons.
Those are a few things I've noticed right away. I've only had this iPad a week and it my Wife's so I haven't used it extensively.

Actually I Don't know if you can make the icons smaller yet but don't think so.
I do like it, but it is still really different than Android.

You can share from every app I’ve used and definitely every website. Back is typically a gesture on most of iOS.

No you can't. Not like you can with Android. I tried to share something from the Daily Mail to my Wife and I couldn't.
I don't have iMessage and the other options which are email, those icons wouldn't lite up for me to use them so I had to copycopy link, close the Daily Mail, open Hangouts and paste the link and send it to her. Not even close to being the same. Usually I just touch the dots on the top right, click share and pick from several different ways to choose from to send it and that's it.

I can totally share the trash website directly to hangouts.

I think I just learned something. See, it's different lol. Ease of sharing is a big deal. Do it all the time.

It is different, I was just more going for them both doing the same functional things mostly but in different ways. iOS does fail at customizing the home screen experience, though.

Edit: Once you add something to share sheet, like Hangouts, it’s there for good.
