there are tons of X owners worried about resale value...
I understand calculating timing of selling my device possibly before the next model launches to maintain resale value. That doesn't warrant me hoping for a higher price on my next device purchase be it this year or next (sometimes I lie/tell myself I'm sitting out a year). I have a X that I will sell this year or next if I pass it down in the family this year.

To each his/her own I guess.

not all people have a fallback device. I personally dont want to lose upwards of 500$ to upgrade. If that happens I won't upgrade for a while. So yes apple keeping prices the same id be happy about for resale value and upgrading without losing a lot of money.

That's why you sell it way before the keynote. I sold mine 3 weeks ago, using a 7+ i had that i kept when i upgraded to the X. You risk it by selling it around the time the new phones come out or worse after the new phones are out.
[doublepost=1535724802][/doublepost]So there is still no consensus on the minimum storage and price? An XS+ at 64GB shouldn't be more than $1,099 (hoping for $999). At 128GB, $1,199 would be probably what they will charge. I just can't imagine that they'll sell the XS+ for the same price as the X last year, even though they absolutely could/should

Just curious, I realize you aren't a native English speaker, but can you at least TRY to make a coherent post once in a while? My wife is also a non-native speaker but she has the most basic grip on grammar and punctuation. Your posts are utterly exhausting to read because you obviously make no effort with even English 101 basics like periods, commas, and spaces. I used to teach ESL and my 1st grade students got those fundamentals right.

And you master can tell they aren’t making effort how again? And you brag on a terrible language like English

This report only seems to be a guess and not a leak?
So much for the analysts, including the apparent God like Koh, staring Apple will use aggressive pricing this year.

I’d never pay £1200 for a Plus, I managed to refuse to pay £999.

The XS Plus will be pricing itself out if the market, especially if it’s £300 more then the 128GB Note 9! For 64GB..

IF this reports price guesses are true that is..

My neighbor just got a nearly mint iPhone X VZW 64gb for $600 of Craigslist.

To me, getting last years model right as people are offloading them every August/September is by far the most financially sensible way to stay up to date (if that's a priority)

If it has Touch ID the Xs will be on backorder for months

In Multiple threads, I have read many of your comments were you keep mentioning if the iPhone X 2018 models Include touch ID, I have no idea where you’re driving your ideas from, but by _no_ means is Apple including touch ID in the 2018 iPhones whatsoever, in the Slightest if you have been following the rumors, nothing even remotely indicates touch ID on the iPhone Xs.

iPhone XS price

  • iPhone XS price estimate: $1,000 (£1,000, AU$1,579)
  • iPhone XS Plus price estimate $1,199 (£1,199, AU$1,714)
  • Cheapest iPhone 2018 may cost $699 (£699, AU$1,079)

I was under the impression the XS Plus was going to be less than the highest configured X which sells at $1149. If Apple sells the XS Plus at $1199, at the lowest storage option, they may see similar dismal sales as in the current X due to affordability.

If this is true I won’t be getting the 6.5 as planned. I’ll be getting the 6.1. There's no way I’m paying $1200 for a smartphone.

That won't happen, all of the rumors have been saying that there will be price drops.

I thought Apple gave us a pretty legit hint at the price XS plus would be 1299 because of the date they chose to unveil it

12/09/18 =12/9/1+8 = 1299

if thats true the XS+ and Apple care will break the $2,000 barrier in Canada...unreal

I really want the iPhone XS plus, but I'm about to be priced out. it's getting a bit ridiculous here with the exchange.

I make good money, but I cannot justify spending over $1500 on a phone, especially when my 7 plus works just fine. might keep it for another year depending on iOS 12 and get the battery replaced at apple.

I think apple growth bigger , more production >> more employee >> more apple store >> more pay check >> more tax >>

that why price going up every yearly ,

always big company they have to make more money than last year so they can balance , if they stay in 1 place no improve up , they can get bankruptc easily >> and apple is count

I hear you i really do. I'm going to end up buying it but i certainly won't be pleased about it at that price. Unfortunately, i think i am addicted to upgrading to the latest phone. But if prices continue to trend upwards, i have not problem grabbing the XS+ and keeping it for 2-3 years

More and more people will start taking this path over the next few years. Smart phones are now practically double the price they were when they first became mainstream; couple that with the maturing technology lengthening the useful lifespan of devices.

I definitely intend for the iPhone I buy in three weeks time to last for three years.

I don’t believe Apple will cut the price on XS. $999. Seems right. After all the XS is an improved model so why would it be cheaper than the X
As for the XS+ $1149 or 1199 since it has more Ram. Idea with the Plus is to come in under the price of the Samsung Note 9

Apple have never introduced new better specced models at a lower price. There us no way that they will introduce a larger and better ohone at the same price as last years model
