like , i checked it few days ago it was on 100% and now when i checked it was on 98. I cannot figure out the issue.

There is no issue. It’s just an estimate. Sometimes if you do something very intensive on your device and pull a lot of power from the battery, the measured max capacity will drop (it’s an approximation, not entirely accurate). The lowest max capacity of all time is then shown in the iPhone battery menu.

Why is my iPhone XS from release day already down 2% of it’s battery health? My iPhone X was 99% after 1 year and a few months.

Reason to worry?

Thanks in advance.

I bought an iphone xs back in January. Its battery healthy is decreasing significantly last week it was 93% and within a week it has dropped to 91% I charge mu phone in cooler environment and don’t let the battery drop below 30% please anyone help me

It's nothing to worry about. Batteries need a certain number of charge cycles before it reaches its maximum capacity. I personally don't trust that rating, it's not absolute.

No need to worry I have x still with me from 13 months and still 100% and xs from 7 months and now is 97% yesterday was 98% and I contacted with apple care they say it’s normal if you’re device come to 80% in one year you must come to replace battery for free but in one year come down to 98 or 97 or 95 it’s normal but if you insist to replace they will charge you

My iPhone Xs is at 93% after 11 months. Apple store claimed that would be normal :(.

Just remember that battery wear is not linear like a constant reduction of liquid flowing out of a glass. It can quickly drop at some points, stay at one point forever, and vis versa. I've watched my iPhones with coconutBattery on an almost weekly basis. Most have stayed within 5-6% of capacity that I had when I owned them. But the wear is not linear. Some months they'll drop 0% and others 1-2%.

I wouldn't necessarily worry about 93% - I would look at the big picture - see where your phone started. I had a 6+ that had 107% capacity from factory. I had a 6s+ that had 96% from factory. For the nearly 2 years I had the 6s+, it budged only 1-2%. My 6+ dropped to 98% after almost 2 years.

So maybe your phone came under 100% from factory - even if they do, battery health shows 100% (seen this via relative's phones).

And yes, your battery % can go up and down. Batteries are a chemistry. coconutBattery - taking a reading at 40% charge will show a different capacity than 100% charge. So I only take readings when fully charged.
