No it’s slightly smallerAm I incorrect that the footprint shouldn't be larger then a plus?
So unless I'm misunderstanding, anyone that has a plus now shouldn't be negatively effected by a max. Unless the concern is simply too much screen. No it’s slightly smaller

the actual physical size doesn’t concern me however, the screen going to the edge might be too hard to reachSo unless I'm misunderstanding, anyone that has a plus now shouldn't be negatively effected by a max. Unless the concern is simply too much screen.
looking at the new max cases I got today versus my 8 plus, about the exact same size, max maybe tad longerNo it’s slightly smaller
lol.. serious? either you want big or you don't... lol..the actual physical size doesn’t concern me however, the screen going to the edge might be too hard to reach
Awesome, I was skeptical of it being small and not a huge difference from the 5.8”.I just got one of the leather Apple cases in (returning the case, don’t like the color) but holy hell is this phone huge! I am definitely a bit nervous about the size of this phone.
Are you experiencing difficult reaching stuff now? Thenside to side bezels barely changed. Top and. Have bottom are the differentiating factors.the actual physical size doesn’t concern me however, the screen going to the edge might be too hard to reach
Man up!I currently have an 8 Plus and want to upgrade to either the XS or XS Max. I can use my 8 plus in one hand but it concerns me that the screen goes all the way to the edge. I just don't know if I can reach that far all the time. I love having the wider screen but I am starting to get a little tired of the big phone. I have been dropping it a lot lately, in fact I broke my screen protector yesterday. If anyone went to the 5.8" X from a Plus phone let me know your thoughts on it. I can type no problem on a X by the way. I'm definitely leaning towards the 5.8"
I went from a plus to the X and honestly hates most is it just missed that screen real estate at the end of the day because as I get older I need to see clearly. That was the other issue w the x was it was hard to see the text clearly. Was fine but had to squint. Not like the plus or my soon to be max !!!!!!Man up!
the X/XS is just a little skinnier than the 8 Plus. But *just* enough to be extremely noticeable to the user. Typing on the 8 Plus, then going to the X keyboard... It's like going back to an iPhone 3g. I just couldn't do it, had to go Max.I went from a plus to the X and honestly hates most is it just missed that screen real estate at the end of the day because as I get older I need to see clearly. I have learned to kind of move my phone over in my pocket when I need to bend over and tie my shoes or something. Just part of life with a “big” phone. My concern is pocketability more so than anything else.
My X fits my pockets but is still a pain when tying shoes or driving leading me to take it out and put it somewhere.
Do people find this a lot worse with plus sized models, do you all have bigger pockets, or are you using bags etc?
I don’t think I have super skinny jeans etc but think this is the only thing making me hesitate over the max.
It allows you to be out of office longer and not attached, the X was WAY to small to do any meaningful work honestly… reading, emails, web etc. closer to the Note the better for me!! Bigger is better!
