Sorry for the delays guys, I've been amazingly busy lately. First things first:

The Bugs -- Most of them are fixed, including a few bugs that caused crashing, the overdue text not being updated properly, copying instead of moving a task, etc. They've been ready to go for a while, but (as the testers know) there were some issues with the provisioning profiles that are holding us back.

The Testing -- I just sent an email this morning to Apple's tech guys with all the info that you have given me dealing with the profiles and the app permissions, including those files themselves. I hope to hear back from them soon, and when I do I'll definitely let you know!

Thanks for being so patient guys. :D

Sorting function

Craig. Thanks a lot for this great app. I have one question (or one suggestion) though-- in the desktop version, how can I sort or change the subject order? I often add new subject and I would like it to be in certain order (alphabetical, next to similar subjects, etc). Any clue is appreciate.

Color-coding in groups is a great idea, I'll add that as an option. (I'm still at work, but very very slowly. :D)

Can you isolate the deleting issue? Like could you break it down into steps that I can run through on my end and reach the same result? Thanks! :)

Ok so I've done a couple tests and determined this:
When you deleted a task from a smart group, instead of deleting THAT task, it'll do the following. If you delete the 3rd task from the smart group, it'll delete the 3rd task from all of your tasks. So if the subject on top of your list has 4 tasks, the 3rd task (regardless of what it is) will be deleted. Or if you have your first subject with 1 task and your second subject with 4 tasks, and you swipe the 3rd task from the smart group ( as before), the 2nd task of the 2nd subject.
Confusing? Let me try to visualize it.

HOME SCREEN
Subjects
Math
-Quiz 1
-HW 3

Science
-Study
-HW 4
-Read Book

Smart Group (includes Math and Science)
-HW 4
-HW 3
-Quiz 1
-Read Book
-Study

So you're in your smart group and you swipe to delete Quiz 1.
But Quiz 1 doesn't get deleted. Instead "-Study" will be deleted. Since quiz 1 is the 3rd one down the list, the 3rd one down your 'overall' list is deleted.

I have tested this out different times and this is always what happens. It's kind of a major problem because it's hard to figure out what got deleted if you have a lot of tasks.

Also, I have my Smart Group in order of Due Date, if that makes any difference.

I use your app more than I use the phone on my iPhone and I love it and I love that you're a member of this community and listen to our suggestions. Please fix this bug with the next update though : )
Thanks for being so responsive.

I have also noticed this problem. This explanation does make sense. It also appears to update constantly so it looks like you have deleted something but upon scrolling up you can see that it has just moved. Quite frustrating. Other than that though, its a great app. Once syncing is released it will simply be the best.

What happened to every one.
Constant posts for a few months now its quite for 2 weeks:eek:!

Yeah, I've gone to other to do apps, sorry Craig. :( The lack of updates hasn't been that impressive, the other developers have been a lot more responsive, and updates make for great apps, and always keeping it interesting, you're killing a potentially amazing app.

I would move on but A) Importing is a problem B) I want to support Craig

Yeah, I'm sorry craig, but if you cant keep working with us on this app (which I would completely understand) I am going to have to move on

wow seems like everyone was just waiting for this tread to be sparked up. I also do not want to lose this app as with the combination of the desktop and the mobile it has so much potential. I need to hear something from Craig though.

Hopefully its sooner.

P.S. This is just like Schoolhouse, the homework manager for mac. It died when a leopard came along. Developer promised updates but they never came and the developer is no longer responding. Boy... that was a fantastic app.:)

I'd love to see that developer, if he has indeed abandoned the project, give his rights to it to someone whose willing to take it to the next level or perhaps open source it. Schoolhouse, no offense to iProcrastinate, had everything: Grade tracking, calendar, e-mail integration, early iPod integration, and FTP power. I've been playing around with more programs since and find myself missing Schoolhouse more and more

I Miss Schoolhouse

I too was an avid schoolhouse user. I loved how you could export to ipod. I always hope that someday it will magically come back accompanied by an ipod touch app to add more. With calendar view.

O man.... just had a awesome idea. Get Craig and Mr. Schoolhouse Developer together and they can make a fantastic app for us.:rolleyes:i wish.

I would probably pay big bucks for that, no joke. That would be an amazing combination!

Hey guys, long time no see.

Development is crawling, I don't plan on having much time to work on it for the next month or so. School takes priority over development, period. I'm sorry for the delays, but they're bugging me just as much as they're bugging you. I promise. :)

I hope to have a lot of free time over Christmas break, and I'll be putting a lot of hours in then. Plan on the 1.2 update being released in late December or early January. I know it's a ways away, but I really just won't have time to work on it until then. This has been my "hell" semester, in terms of the complete lack of free time. :)

A lot of people are concerned about the project dying out, and I can assure you that it won't. If, in the worst case scenario a few years down the road I decide to stop working on iProcrastinate, all versions of it will become completely open-source. There's no reason for code to get stagnant just sitting around, if the developer knows that it will never be updated.

Glad to shed some light on the issue, if there are any questions, please post them here. :D

Haha it's a novel thought, and Logan's a great guy and a great developer, but we're both obviously pretty busy with schoolwork. People can pout as much as they want, but we know that our priorities are straight, and they're staying that way. :)

Does it have a calendar?

So far, from what I can see, SmartTime is the only to-do app that has a calendar. It also does all the organizing or you. If only they could combine with Jott to create tasks by voice.

I've been beta testing it for a while now. It's pretty stable, but nothing ground breaking in it because syncing only works half the time.

Any idea when it'll be released?

Any other app I can use besides this one for school until the new version is released

It's up to Craig.

And I hate to say this, but I'm actually looking at another app also. It's just been too long with iProcrastinate without an update. The only things keeping me from getting that one is that it's $2.99 and I'd have to transfer everything over from iProcrastinate.

(I'd prefer not to name the app here, pm me for the name)

Can you pm me? I've been searching endlessly for an app for both mac/iphone that can sync between them. thanks in advance.
