Well mine is going back. Question, though - if I’ve ordered directly from Apple online, can I take it back to a physical Apple store? And do I need to initiate a return beforehand, or can I just walk in and ask for a refund?

I’m in the UK if that makes any difference.
You can walk right in <14 days.

after 3 15 pro max with a dead pixel, i tried a 15 pro and this times theres no dead pixel but 2 speck of dust in 2 camera, the wide and ultra-wide :/ i love apple's qc...i guess this one is going back too...

My 15 Pro Max is going back today.

Coming from a 13 Pro I found it very difficult to hold and use with one hand (and I've got big hands), it's not very portable and I couldn't get a solid grip on the titanium. It felt very slippy. With a case on it would have been even more difficult to use. The screen felt fluid and I guess the camera is better but it's just not a 'mobile' phone in my opinion and it was quite an underwhelming device (this could be due to my age and tech fatigue though).

I don't know if I will stick with my 13 Pro now, or look at the 15 Pro.

I went from the 13 Pro Max to the 15 Pro because it was difficult to hold and type with one hand sometimes. Long story short....my 15 Pro Max is scheduled to be delivered today. While I liked the size of the Pro as far as being able to use it one handed...the text size was too small for me to easily read it at times. I know you can change the text size but it doesn't work for everything, and also it looks weird and unnatural when you do that (at least in my opinion). I really wanted to like the smaller phone but I might as well admit that I'm getting old and my eyesight isn't what it used to be.

I upgrade my ProMax every year and find the 5X lens very nice for portraits. Giant leaps in features are becoming farther and farther apart so I might skip a year and hold onto my 15PM. I say that now, but come next September . . . . .

I get that, but I also had to change the text size on the Pro Max device so it makes no odds really. Leaving it at the default size didn't help with my eyesight.

I have fairly long fingers and found myself using both hands to type on the regular Pro. It is not a one handed phone for me either. So I switched to Pro Max with the 12PM, because why not, and haven’t looked back. I have the Spigen ultra hybrid clear MagSafe case on my 15PM and it’s smaller overall than my 14PM was. Perfect size for me.
