WoW it was possible to book one at local Apple Store to pickup today. No need to pre order. I’m still not convinced as I have the 14PM. I’ll give a try and return if everything is really “meh” as it seems

After the debacle of pre-pre ordering in the UK last week and admitting defeat I've secured a White 256 Max for pick up this afternoon.

There were 3 pick up times available and mine disappeared after I'd finished the finance agreement again and thought I was in for more disappointment but managed to snag a lunchtime pickup.

Will be trading in my 11 PM so really looking forward to the upgrade.

Yea around this time before launch day, apple disables the in store pick up. But it is reenabled on Friday at 6 am or so.

i'll go check out at my local store tmr. hopefully the lineup isnt as busy. go later in the afternoon. and feel it out before deciding that blue color sure looks enticing though. but i like the white color it does say should be in store tmr. but orders wont come in for another 2 months if i put it the order now.

I never pre-order, I always do launch day morning orders and pickup. I wake up early, find “this” thread on MR, drink coffee and wait with you fine people. It’s a little tradition I have and it usually works out fine for me.

No store updates yet for me here in USA eastern time zone, 6:10 am.
