without steve, apple will return to its nutered state of the early 90's

I hope not. Hopefully, if something does happen to Steve, (I really do hope he's okay) they will pick someone that knows what they are doing to take over.

It is definitely our business. The man is the head of a publicly traded company.

My gut is that he is seriously ill (possibly a relapse). The biggest clue is how he handled the keynote. He was dull..the RDF was no where to be found (in comparison to his usual presentations). He seemed very lost and mentally distracted during the demos. And, he shared the stage. Hope for the best, expect the worst.

I hope everything is okay because Apple is in trouble if those three boobs are going to be running the joint.

You are very right Especially about RDF, Leopard didn't seemall that good without it, the applauses were forced most of the time, and i mean phill schiller i fell asleep during his part of the keynote

Well hopefully he's okay. I would be crushed if anything ever happened to him.

My God, I would probably cry if/when Jobs died. :(
i agree with you here, i would probably cry, i know that seems very sad seeing though i don't know the guy, but look at all those people that cried when princess diana died

Hmm...

He does look like he's dropped about 30 or so lbs... but seems fine to me. At least he doesn't have a cold or flu like January.

Meanwhile Mr. Meanie-Phil Schiller looks like he's picked up Steve Jobs' old weight.

I hope not. I was watching the Keynote with a guy I work with, and he mentioned that Steve wasn't looking so great. I didn't really notice until he pointed it out to me. I hope the guy's alright.

arn, do you think Apple reads this thread? Any way to check access logs to see if IPs come from Cupertino? :p

This thread came about due to many other websites and blogs (digg in particular) discussing it.

I don't believe this thread to be the sole source of these "rumors."

2) Unlike the typical routine, the format for WWDC was much different, with Steve taking an unusual amount of breaks, splitting up his time with 3 other new faces.

3) These "new faces," unlike other guest speakers, were internal Apple employees.

As much as we like Stevenotes, objectively thinking it's good idea to "use" other people as well. Right now SJ == Apple. And lets face it, Steve is getting older. It makes smart to groom other execs to take his place. If he didn't do that, the moment he retires/dies would be the moment Apple dies. Obviously he or we don't want to see that happening.

What would I like to see? The young guy (VP of platform experience?) did a great job handling the keynote. He was funny, smooth and charismatic. I could easily see him handling more keynotes in the future, together with Phil Schiller (zzzzzzzz......). Serlet... He MIGHT be a good person to hold keynotes... In French. In English, I just can't get past his accent.

Maybe SJ put Serlet and the young guy on stage to see how they handle it. Serlet flunked, whereas the "other dude" passed with flying colours. Schiller was there because.... well, he's always there.

As a french, I considered the Bertrand Serlet performance great :D
I love his french' accent, it's extremly easy to understand for us in fact lol
