Better to give consumers the option as to which version of the OS to install.
Most wouldn’t have a clue which to install.

Just give the user the 2 available options then? Most wouldn’t have a clue which to install.
Offering different operating system versions to install is about as detached from ease of use as I can make it up. I don’t think Apple will consider that option.Better to give consumers the option as to which version of the OS to install.
I dont think they will either because the EU have outlawed consumers from being able to make that choice.Offering different operating system versions to install is about as detached from ease of use as I can make it up. I don’t think Apple will consider that option.
One can spin it that way or simply ignore the additional options that version of the OS might bring along. Just like on the Mac.I dont think they will either because the EU have outlawed consumers from being able to make that choice.
I think users should be allowed to have the choice of what they want instead of being forced to have something by law makers. One can spin it that way or simply ignore the additional options that version of the OS might bring along. Just like on the Mac.
I think what the EU doesn’t account for are the edge cases that are so in love with a manufacturer or service that they deem additional options that differ from the walled garden as somehow diluting their experience. Ultimately, that is on me, the end user. I determine how I feel every moment of my life. However, life for these end users will not really change to the negative due to having more options to compute with.I think users should be allowed to have the choice of what they want instead of being forced to have something by law makers.
Time will tell. The EU think they own it now.I think users should be able to do what they want with their devices, regardless of who they buy them from. Apple doesn't own my hardware.
The EU think they own it now.
I’d rather consumers having the choice what they want, not the EU deciding for them. They are telling end-users what they have to do. They are telling a corporation what to do.
Fully within their right. Corporations are not citizens and not people. They shouldn't be entitled to rights.

Great as long as users can choose to install iOS without the EU mandated changes. They had no choice in this prior. Just Apples way or the highway. Now they have.

It’s a shame that users arent being given that choice and having it forced on them instead. We discussed this. You are invited to never touch any of these and nothing will change in your end user experience. This is coming. I recommend you wrap your head around it.
Nobody forces you to vote but now you can.
It’s a shame that users arent being given that choice and having it forced on them instead.
Great, as long as users can choose to keep iOS without the mandated EU changes then theres no problem; users can pick what they want 👍You are still on your rights to leave your little walled garden intact. As discussed above.

Because this is supposed to be about giving users choice? Why would you all of sudden need choices when you were content with having none previously. Tell me what aspects of your user experience will be harmed! You act like someone who’s been given a vote and is somehow upset that now they have a choice.
Because this is supposed to be about giving users choice?
Like I said, that’s great that users can choose to take or leave the EU mandated changes in iOS. It gives users the ability to choose to allow third party app stores or not.So from a situation without you now have choice. Go and celebrate. Apple was not willing to innovate on that front without a nudge. I understand not everyone can appreciate that or will follow their random agenda to somehow blame the EU for having it.
Choice has arrived, now deal with it.
