I have a 10.5”. No white spot, but in the past 6 months, have to reboot it after using it for about 20 minutes (just surfing Safari) every time I use it. Reallllly irritating! But I asked here and was told the new Air and latest budget iPad does this also, I’m not paying iPad Pro prices. So my issue may be software related, idk.

I haven't heard of this issue. Can you be more specific about why you need to reboot? Does it crash? Freeze? Slow down? Are you running anything besides Safari? How many tabs?

I have the bright spot on my 2 years old 10.5"... and I realized to have it only after reading the thread on MR forums 😒
BTW I'm not going to do anything about it. It doesn't affect my usage any way.

It is trash though. The white spot makes the display worse than Amazon’s $100 tablets.
definitely not. But, on a side note, not a surprise the hyperbole from you, considering your post history 🤷🏻‍♂️

It freezes. Mostly use my 10.5” to surf using Safari, rarely use my iPad for much else. I’m not able to use it for long before it freezes causing me to have to do a hard reset. I say it began with one of the software updates to iOS 12 but have been told on this board, it’s hardware related. It’s a well known issue.

First I've heard of it, but having never owed a Pro model, I don't keep up to date with all the news on them. I would take it to my nearest Apple Store, whether it's still covered by warranty/Apple Care or not.

I think he might be referring to the screen freeze issue. Haven't really had it happen on any of my iPad Pros (9.7, 10.5 and 2017 12.9) *knock on wood*.

Yes! I have had many iPads by now and this is the first one with any issue at all. I don’t ever look for any! But this freeze happens so often, it’s irritating so I thought I would get a new iPad. I don’t need a Pro so I inquired on this board if there was the same freeze issue known on the latest budget iPad or the new Air and was told yes. So I haven’t wasted any money trying a new one yet!
