Itunes error message -9838

I was getting the error a lot too, but now it says accessing the itunes store, but it's blank... maybe it will push through in a little!
i cant get texts yet...its pissin me off...ill prob have to go up to the att store and tell them cuz im gettin calls and ****
Yeah, I finally got to the "accessing iTunes" part, but it was taking too long so I just decided screw it, I need to go to work. But after I unplugged it, it came up with the regular iPhone background rather than "Please plug into iTunes." So I don't know what happened there.

I was getting that same 9838 error all the time, and then it finally went through, only to tell me I had an unsupported sim card. I figured with my carrier now being supported in Australia my original iPhone might work without needing to be unlocked.
So now out of desperation I've found the AT&T sim it came with and am trying that. It's just sitting there at accessing iTunes store...for the last 5 minutes or so.
I figured it might not work, so I'm not disappointed by that, just mad that it takes soooo long not to work

Talk about trying your patience.
Best advice is just keep it plugged in and sooner or later you will get through.

Mine's been activated, phone and texts work fine... just trying to sync my backed up data to it now... wont even do that... getting the same "cant connect to itunes store."

Why oh why they didn't release the 2.0 update for existing iphone owners yesterday with the new itunes beggers believe.
We could have all been done and out the way for the 3G owners trying to activate today.

Okay, now it's not doing anything at all except -9838... Reload and reload and same thing each time. They better be adding more servers.
Yup, same here. This is terrible, my phone has been out of action for over 2 hours now.
Do yalls iPhones not work at all? My is activated but i cant connect to my mac. Phone is working, txts, gps, 3G all good but cant sync =/ weird
