My experience

Long time reader, first time post-maker (in a while at least).
I thought I would share my experience with iTunes Match (the more the merrier at this time of year!)
I only have a small library, because I don't keep a lot of music if I don't listen to it for so long. So 514 songs. Quite handy when only 74% of those are matched (after some re-converting and meta-date alteration) and the rest are uploaded. I am at a loss with what to do with the rest of the 'uploaded' section. 131 songs that are uploaded. I will admit to being very anal because I like all my music to be matched with music I KNOW is in the iTunes store.
Anyway, I did head all those warnings about files lower than 96kpbs and upgraded those necessary few to 128/256kbps formats, which were then matched (for the majority). Now I noticed something today, all those files that aren't matched and are instead uploaded are 256 VBR files. So, I have re-converted these to 256 files, without the VBR. I will let you know how I get on. There is ONE song in my library that shouldn't match with iTunes because it's a friend's band and they're certainly not on iTunes
