I mean I guess thats true, but I am the type of person that likes doing things myself and updating things to accommodate the users. I can try and talk to them but you said it yourself, site does seem to be dying down...

I don't think it's dying down at all, they just have a hard time updating things quickly. I use that site extensively, wealth of artwork.

This is very commendable and a nice offer, but at this point I would feel bad if I in any way encouraged you to spend the time doing so. It would take a vast amount of time to compile the same amount of artwork as them and so forth. I don't know how much time you have or how much effort you're willing to put in, but it would definitely be a big undertaking. More power to ya if you have the time and ability.

Might I make one recommendation? Something I feel would be an improvement over GVA's site? Keep iTunes art separate from custom made artwork, or at least make sure you specify. It would be of great help.

I agree! I uploaded some new artwork on Monday....and on Tuesday it was available for all! Seems that it's working rather well, if you ask me!

Unverrich why are you trying to copy what GetVideoArtwork has already done & they are doing a great job. Incase you haven't noticed it is the summer holidays (Just ended though for some, Not me though) and the people that run GetVideoArtwork aren't a bunch of saddos making Artwork and keeping the site 24/7 they do need a break you know.

Just so you know I'm against you doing this when GetVideoArtwork have done it so well.

Also you should read Current Situation & The Future, That is reason they are slow on updating lately.

No need to get too defensive on our behalf there Northy! Unverrich did contact me and offered to help at GVAW and with the site redesign. I, of course, said to piss off.

I told him that we can always use the help and that if he has skills in programming PHP it'd be a massive boost to me (as I don't have much experience with PHP, although I'm an SQL pimp).

GVAW is undergoing some internal changes due to the fact that the upload process is a convoluted pain in the rear end. You have to have two windows open, move images through one window, approve in another, create folders ... it's a nightmare. Or at least a full time job.

The new site is being designed from the ground up to help maintain the site and keep the experience more streamlined. (PS - newappleboy, the itunes artwork distinction is definitely a part of the plan)

Although there is not a chance in hades that we will allow unmoderated images at GVAW. While I want the moderation process reduced to one-click-submit ... some of the trash we receive could make a blind man vomit. We want to have standards.

So, if you want to help with the redesign and you have PHP skills - I'd love to chat with you. If you're just a user - I'd love suggestions (as long as they aren't crazy GUI suggestions and are geared towards things that can help).

Anyhow, my rant is over.

I don't think they were "upset" or anything, it's just people often recreate things to try to seem like a big shot.

When GVAW first started, there were 3 artwork threads on MacRumors and you'd have to peruse all 3 in order to get what you needed. It was a pain. This happened because certain people got their shirt in a knot about things and refused to create a community.

I think people are just wary of heading in that direction again.

But, as you've read my PM by now (and have replied) we are good to go. Welcome to GVAW. Prepare to be assimilated.

If you can get a season one, it's season 18 but I wouldn't of thought any artwork would of been made as it isn't on DVD yet.

Have you read nothing on this thread?! The Get Video Artwork website that we have discussed at length and provided numerous links to has 19 different pieces of artwork for "The Simpsons" alone. Go there and look.

I don't particulary want to read 13 pages just to find one artwork, I checked the first post and looked at the seperate posts he provided with different links, the photobucket account didn't have any Simpsons. Sorry if I don't want to read over 300 replies when I'm just looking for a quick answer so theres no need to be rude over it.

Yes, links are scattered in and around posts but you can't expect me to read through it all when most of it is just thank-you replies anyway. You could of at least gave me these "numerous links to 19 different pieces of artwork for The Simpsons".

Hi, this is my first and probably only request. I have a pretty decent artwork collection but there's one I can't find anywhere and I mean anywhere on the Internet. And the songs only on US iTunes and I only have a UK account.

The songs called "Curtain Call" and it's by "Nina Sky".

I know I know it's iTunes US but I can't utilize it. Thanks is advance. Oh and if anyone finds it will it get posted here on the photobucket site?

if its on itunes you can get it regardless of country of your account. You just need to make sure your tags are the same as what iTunes calls it, in your case "Curtain Call (feat . Rick Ross) - Single"
If your tune was just tagged "Curtain Call" i don't think it would of found it.

i Just made a blank mp3 put in the correct tags and told iTunes to get the artwork and bam job done.

You can sign into other countries to look at their store, and you can grab the links for movies and TV shows to user the Josher method, but you can't get music artwork that way. As soon as you try to make iTunes get the artwork, it will see that your account is for one country and you're connected to another, and it will automatically switch the store back to what it should be. Trust me - I've tried. It stinks. lol
