I refuse to give up my 5S and iPad jailbreak either. They aren't missing any of my money because all that I have installed was free.
Pretty sure the jailbreakers aren't doing it for the money and they get it released as soon as they can.
Generally tweak developers are not the ones who create the jailbreak and most don't make much money on their tweaks.
If anything, everyone ditching JB for stock iOS would create the opposite effect. The fact that we hold off upgrading because of the JB shows how valuable their work is.
The white screen of death on my JB iOS 7.0.6 iP5S is really annoying me. My phone crashes at least couple of times per day.
Same with my iPad Air.

I didn't think I needed to jailbreak my iPhone 5 but my son convinced me to. Now there's no way I'm going back. Even for 7.1.
I wish I would have upgraded to 7.0 and jailbroken it when I had the chance. I was looking at the available options and they stopped signing 7.x when I decided to do it so I'm still on 6.1.
Problem is my 6.1 JB has been crashing like crazy lately and a lot of apps aren't syncing like they should be. The one application I use the most with my current jailbreak is 'KillBackground'. The ability to close all running programs with one click is amazing. f.lux is nice too but I could sacrifice it if I went to 7.1.
Hopefully they'll release a 7.1 JB sometime in the near future so I can have everything working perfectly again.

I decided to sacrifice my jailbreak on 7.0.4, and updated to 7.1 on my iPhone 5S. I do and don't regret my decision.
I don't regret it because the performance and stability is ridiculously better. I've been very impressed, actually.
You know, I have had NO stability OR performance issues with my IP5 running the most recent jailbreak so its difficult to relate to your situation. And I would never give up the 7.04 jailbreak (until a replacement comes along) because of apps like MYWI. because of this app I didn't have to buy a more expensive version of the iPad: I can just tether it off of my phone with my (grandfathered in) unlimited data plan from ATT!!!
