7.1.2 does run more smoothly over 7.0.4.
Got it. Not really a power user and haven't had any "smoothness" issues on 7.0.4 that I've noticed....was more wondering about new features or options under 7.1.2 that I'm missing.

Title says it all. I only use Activator, CCSettings, and TetherMe.
TIA!
The pain of waiting for your device to restore, then update, then jailbreak.

30 min for me. How long does it take you?
I can't go 30 mins without a phone, too many important calls bro.
So I do the following:
1) restore iPhone to 7.1.2 as new through iTunes
2) re-jailbreak using Pangu
Am I correct? (Sorry, this is my first time updating iOS while jailbroken)

I wouldn't bother.
I'm on 7.0.4 and staying here till iOS 8 is jb.
I have everything setup great now and the few small changes or improvements are not really that important to me.
True.
I think for my iPad I'm going to go for it and jb it on 7.1.2
About the phone I might either wait for the jb iOS 8 or at least wait till all packages are updated and work fine with 7.1.2
Heard there's still some incompatibilities with a bunch of hacks but it's still early and expected for stuff to be fixed.
Do I have to Restore, or can I simply Update and re-jailbreak?
If I did restore, could I restore my backup from when I was jailbroken (without re-jailbroking)?
