a better place
I enjoyed the 6P a lot, actually. But Android just ended up making me miss the simplicity of iOS. They are both fantastic operating systems. Android has come a long way, but I think it took using an Android for 6 months to make me realize how much I liked iOS. I've also been playing with my 5S lately and I've been hitting with a few nostalgia bombs. They both have their pros and cons. What I really wanted all along was an updated 5S ... and the SE is pretty much that for me. I couldn't be more excited to get my new phone. It's still two weeks out though. >_>
Enjoy when you get it ...

I ordered one to take on my walking holiday next week instead of carrying my phablets, but sadly it doesn't ship until Monday meaning it will arrive a Tuesday only a few hours after I've already departed .... hey ho.

On phone side, I moved to Android long time ago. Right now carrying Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P. Both are great in terms of build quality and in terms of overall user experiences. The most importantly is that the Nexus 6P is only 100 USD more than iPhone 5SE, but with much better spec. So the bang of the buck is definitely there.

I am using Windows 10 way more than OS X, simply becuase Windows 10 is very good and there are tons of more apps available to Windows.

I've used Android so I doubt I'll ever abandon iOS devices. I agree to your sentiments with Windows 10. I've not used Windows since the 90s but my goodness is Windows 10 an excellent OS. I'm running it on a 2009 Mini with a spinner as I type and it just flies. The same hardware with El Cap is very pedestrian. I never thought I'd see the day where I seriously prefer Windows to OS X ;-(

I'm partially done with Apple, too, for many of the reasons listed in this thread. While I like my iPhone 6s Plus, I don't love it for what I had to pay for it. I feel like I could be just as happy, if not more so, with a cheaper Android phone. I've pretty much decided to go with an Android phone, iPad Mini 4 and a Windows 10 laptop. I also have a Roku and Nexus Player (that I got for $25 from Target), so I see no need for an Apple TV.

I've used Android phones and thought they were junk so went back the the iphone. The app I couldn't be without on the iphone is iMessages. For that, there's no Android port. Maybe is Apple moves iMessages support to their cloud website.

Mine is supposed to ship by Monday as well ... in theory. Let's hope for the best.

Hangouts is the Android version of iMessage. I can text or call anyone in the U.S. for free, regardless if they have the app or not. But ... the interface is balls.
