Apple RSS visualizer screen saver problem

I use the Apple RSS Visualizer screen saver. Maybe everyone already knows this, but maybe not... If you want it to display an RSS feed that isn't already listed there, you can get it to display any RSS feed you want. Just go to the feed and open it is Safari and add it to your Bookmarks. Then when you go back to the screen saver options, it will be listed there with all of the others. :)

I haven't used that screensaver in ages, but now, mysteriouslly all of the RSS links that came "standard"/preloaded onto Safari are now gone? I have zero links (used to have more than twenty!). Is there any way I can reset/get them back? I hope I don't have to manually find every single one...

I'm currently using Electric Sheep (luckily, I managed to find a torrent someone made for a bunch of starter-sheep, that cut down my waiting time)
I did use the G-Force one for a while, until I realized that, like the standalone app, it only takes input from the line-in port, and not from the system. I also like the FromParis ones. Great panoramic shots of Paris. Particles is also a fun one. the current version does work on Tiger, so no worries. Solarwinds is also cool, as are the new ones from Apple in Tiger (Paper Shadow and Spectrum).

I have to say; I was disappointed with Electric Sheep. The quality was bad, and the visualizations were very repetitive (it was like watching the exact same thing hundreds of times per minute) - it just got old.

I was using the ATI Smartshader 1.0 or 2.0 screensavers. Very cool. But now that I have a GeForce 6800GT, they won't work since my card isn't made by ATI. :(

I've been looking for a similar set of nVidia screensavers but haven't found any yet.

Right now I'm using Liquid... I just love 3D screensavers!

its been a couple days now and the sheep thing still says that its locating a sheep. is this normal or am i doin something wrong.

Have you let the screensaver sit overnight (without disabling it, such as putting the display to sleep)?

I might be the only one... But I have both of my Macs set so that the screen turns off before the screen saver would ever get activated. So I essentially don't use one. I guess it's adding power cycles to the backlight bulb, but I also put my iBook to sleep frequently anyway. It's set so that it doesn't go to screen save that quickly, so it doesn't happen while I'm working.

I alternate between Flurry and RSS but I've downloaded Electric Sheep to see what all the fuss is about...

RE: Just a thought... (what screensaver do you use?)

I'm quite bored. What do you all use for screensavers?

As others here have mentioned, I use photos and albums from iPhoto -- one album in particular has attracted clients for my biz. I designed one album specifically as a demo for my firm's capabilities and whenever I'm about to take a quick ciggie break, I hot corner the screen to "roll the credits". No boredom here ;-)

I usually switch between Structure and Fluid I like them both even though Fluid seems kind of complex for a screen saver. Oh well it looks nice and it's very customizable.
