Re: Just a thought... (what screensaver do you use?)

MJ,

Can't have you shifting your screen name, can we? "Slightly Balmy Jew" just wouldn't have the same ring to it. Happy to help you keep your razor sharp wit and wisdom -- without it, my G4 would be a humorless yet attractive doorstop.

I haven't used that screensaver in ages, but now, mysteriouslly all of the RSS links that came "standard"/preloaded onto Safari are now gone? I have zero links (used to have more than twenty!). Is there any way I can reset/get them back? I hope I don't have to manually find every single one...
I don't know if there is causation, but the only ones listed are the feeds I subscribe to in Safari.

Oh, I use iTunes Artwork, but on occasion I use my Google News RSS feed or the Beach collection. Like many others, the beach relaxes me.

its...well...really really cool.

YES! This is what I asked about ages ago...I was trying to explain it along the lines of "It's really cool and it makes lines and colours and stuff...and is free". Ah, I'll be more clear next time! Woot! Excellent!

I started the thread and haven't added my 2 cents yet.

FLURRY, anyone? :)

EDIT: :looks up at quicksilvers post: :)

I have to say; I was disappointed with Electric Sheep. The quality was bad, and the visualizations were very repetitive (it was like watching the exact same thing hundreds of times per minute) - it just got old.
Most people are when you first use it. But what you fail to realize after watching for 10 minutes is that as long as you are connected to the internet and the screen saver is running, it's downloading new sheep. And when these new sheep are downloaded, they are incorporated into the rest of your existing ones... each time it plays, it transitions more and more smoothly into the next one, eventually making a seamless transition.

I leave it going everytime i go to class, and when I return, there is ALWAYS a sheep i've never seen before waiting for me. When you find a sheep you do or don't like, you can rate it with the up and down keys. The sheep servers take note of your preference, and create more sheep like those you enjoy.

This is the smartest screensaver I've ever seen. it's amazing.

Maybe I'll give it another try.
I see that they are coming out with a HD version soon - that will be great. :)

Who make the "sheep"?
