<snip> since these MacBook Pros came out, I've seen a lot of people gatekeeping the new MacBooks, saying, oh well, if you are a YouTuber, you don't need any of that stuff. You can just edit all your videos on an M one Mac mini. That's all you need.
And those types of arguments just really get under my skin because they don't really make a whole lot of sense. Like who are you to say that one type of pro is better or deserving of hardware that is superior to another type of pro? A common thing that I see in my comments from Internet haters all the time is people saying, oh well, why do you Luke, care so much about performance? You're just a YouTuber, you can just edit in 1080p. It doesn't matter what the content looks like, everyone's watching it in 720 or 1080 anyway.
But couldn't you say the same thing about Hollywood movie directors? I mean, they're shooting multimillion dollar productions on hundred thousand dollars cameras shooting in four K, six K, eight k, and then half the time the the movie ends up getting compressed and streamed over Netflix in 1080p. So just because you don't think that a certain task needs a certain level of hardware or quality, doesn't necessarily mean that it can’t be justified. You know, maybe you just want these new MacBook Pros specifically because you want a Pro motion mini LED display, you want a new design and you want to look cool.
That is totally fine, guys. I feel like people spend so much energy trying to tell other people what they need to do that it kind ofloses any sort of purpose. So when it comes to picking a MacBook Pro, I I think it's really important not to discount, just pure desire.
