Just tethered Nexus One to the iPad works crazy good!!

Seeing as how I am on Verizon and the iPhone isn't an option (yet), my next phone will more than likely be an Incredible. I am assuming that it will be rooted and able to do the same as the N1. Still trying to decide on 3G or WiFi for the iPad.

So in about a week I'll be getting the motorola devour from verizon which runs on android and am hoping that I'd be able to tether my ipad with it.

Do you need a specific android software update number, such as 2.1 or would any android phone like the motorola devour allow for it?

I have car chargers for both the ipad and motorolar phones in my car so can't imagine ever having either device die on me. I'd love to have Internet at alltimes on my ipad.

No I have a MyTouch 3G on T-Mobile running version 1.6 and it works great. Posting from the iPad tethered to my android phone right now.

Could someone please tell me how to tether ipad with an android phone? I have a mytouch slide.
