So I've always done the smaller sized iPhone, my wife had always done the max size. With the 15 I thought I was prepared to go Max after al the years seeing my wife, big one..... I have big hands, but just can't hack the reach I'm afraid.
What's the deal with returning the phone to apple does anyone know or done this already? Bought of finance in the UK?
Did you buy it in store or online as that makes a difference.

EDIT: Never mind just saw how old this thread is and that you’ve sent it back anyway. I can’t do the bigger phones, my eyes love that big screen but my hands and pockets wouldn’t. I had an XR and upgraded to a 13 Pro and I have enjoyed the slightly smaller size even though it’s very slim in difference lol. I had to use my old iPhone 6S the other day for something and for me that size was perfect. Shame the camera doesn’t hold up these days, but it was so slim and small, you wouldn’t know you had it in your pocket.

Anyone dropped from a PM to a pro - how’s the battery difference if any treating you?
I went from 14 PM to 15 P which works better for me overall, but the battery isn't as good. Fortunately I'm not a heavy user and I'm almost always near a charger so the lesser battery is not a problem.

Apple came up with a solution to the “too-big” iPhone problem with Reachability, a feature it introduced with the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus. When enabled (by going into Settings->Accessibility->Touch->Reachability) a downward swipe on lower screen edge brings icons and controls from the top half down to the bottom half. It greatly reduces the need for awkward thumb stretching, thereby allowing for more one-handed use.

It's and awesome feature once you get the hang of it (it's a little tricky at first to get the swiping down on the bottom edge movement just right), and it's a pity almost no one knows about it because Apple no longer promotes it. (For shame, Apple!)
The size of the touchable screen after you invoke Reachability is the size it should ALWAYS be in my opinion 😆. The dead area above it could maybe be used for video or other content that doesn’t ever need to be touched.

I use Reachability sometimes on my SE3 but on that it’s a double tap on the home button. I dunno, sometimes I think it takes more time to judge if something is too far to reach (sometimes it’s right on the border), then reach down to double tap the home button, then reach back up—rather than just adjusting my hold and reaching. But I often forget to use it so maybe I just need to get in the habit.

But one very useful thing it can’t simulate is tapping the top edge of the screen to jump to the top of a page or document. 🙁

This is me. The Max can be a cumbersome device and I’ve had a few of them. I love just being able to pop the Pro in my pocket. I was always aware of my Pro Max. Maybe that’s a good thing, because you know if you don’t have your phone.

Holding my mums Samsung a54 isnt too shabby for me with a 15 Pro. The a54 and 15 Pro max have the same footprint, the 15 pro max being 1 mm longer which is negligible. Hmm,i might bite the bullet and sell this 15 pro and get the max. Honestly its not as big as people make it out here.

Glove size - Women's XS, ring size 4. Love the size of 15 PM! It's perfect for everything I do. I do 80% of my daily activities on my phone, including some work-related things. I can't imagine going smaller.
But I also do not have expectation of using my phone one-handed and it fitting in my pockets. Although it fits into the back pocket of my jeans no problem, when needed. And I have the smallest possible size of clothing.
I carry the phone in my purse. So it's definitely different for women, IMHO.

I never liked big(!) phone but my eyesight isnt what it was before. Its really not too big when i hold my mums a54. Its not small by any means, but now with lighter weight, its bearable i guess. 6.4-6.5 would have being perfect for me tho. I might get the Pro max this year, after selling my 15 pro and get the rumored 16 Pro with the 6.3 inch next year. But no way im gona even think about the rumored 16 Pro max with 6.9 screen lol

I am past 40 and my vision is definitely not what it used to be.
But I have also had phablets since Samsung Note 2 (2012) and gotten used to the size.
Next year's phone will be 6.9?! That's yummy!

My wife runs her max at stupid font size and I can understand people wanting the extra space, looks really bad on the smaller screen. I'm 54 and my eyes are fine, just the arthritis which is the pain with that extra reaching one handed.

It's very much a personal thing, not everyone is the same of course. I still think the P4 was the perfect size :D

This is actually a good idea -- something you would expect to find on Android (surprised it's not there). Apple is probably too afraid of confusing "ordinary" users to implement something like this.
