Hope they make funding - or if they don't, still find a way to bring these to market. These are the first third-party bands I would actually want to wear.

here is an other update from the Indiegogo of JUUK

Update #3 - July 14, 2015

We just received the gunmetal IP Matte samples back. While we expected a colour variance due to the different metals and processes, they still turned out really well to match the Space Grey aluminum watch. You'll notice that Space Grey has a bluer tint than the slightly warmer gunmetal plating, but at certain angles, lighting conditions and with shadows, it's quite compatible. Let us know what you think! As for reducing the target funding, unfortunately, Indiegogo Support has been rather unresponsive after initially agreeing to help out...so let's keep our fingers crossed that they'll be a little more proactive with their replies!

hummmmmm Seems like space grey is a go, guess it would go well with Apple watch sport

Wow, it's really too bad the moderators made Eugene feel unable to discuss his product here. I know there are rules against self advertising, but there should be an option to discuss directly with the third party manufacturers who make Apple products better.

Maybe an IAmA kind of thread? I know this isn't Reddit, but I vastly prefer the company of this site to... that.

All I'm saying is there should be a way to accommodate this kind of communication.

FWIW, I backed the polished Revo but I seriously doubt the campaign will be a success given how far it has to go.

Thanks for backing! You're right in your assessment of the campaign so I'm looking at alternative funding methods to get it going. All of the encouraging comments on here, other forums and direct messages have strengthened my belief that there's a market for good products for the Watch. Stay tuned!

I am very interested in the polished Locarno, but it's unfortunately obvious that funding won't happen. As soon as it's available, or a funding attempt that stands a chance at being successful arrives, I'm on board.

Looks like it didn't get funding.
I think they should of used Kickstarter as they give more traction in regards to getting the project out there.

I would've preferred Kickstarter too by far, but I'm not in a country where it's supported and to have have a friend in one of the Kickstarter countries help out (if KS allowed it, which sometimes they don't because the creator needs to have contributed to the campaign creation) would've had a lot of tax consequences and I'd probably not have broken even. Believe me, I thought long and hard about it because I know it's the superior platform. And while I'm here...I'd like to say that Indiegogo Support is atrocious so anyone considering them should try to use KS instead at all costs.

Thanks for the kind words! I'm about a week away from finding alternate funding to start production on the 42mm Revo first, then the others shortly after that. Stay in touch with our progress via our website. Thanks!

Now that the Indiegogo campaign has failed and we have been refunded, any updates as to where we would be able to get the bands or help fund another campaign?

He posted he was one week from having investors so keep checking their website. He expects to have the 42 MM Revo ready to start shipping in 3 months. Once they have a cashflow he will work on producing other models. I hope the investors pan out.

Hi Robert...thanks for backing the (failed) campaign and I'm glad you got a refund so quickly. I just placed the purchase order to the factory yesterday for the 42mm Revo and we're a go! I'll have the website updated by tomorrow to reflect the pre-order prices. We will be shipping at the end of October.

Congrats! Now make one in 38 or let me buy a prototype;)

At the top of the watch it looks like the revo gun metal is not precise. I see the 2 holes where the band slides in the watch...

So JUUK emailed backers today saying we can pre-order for late-October shipments of the Revo (the one that looks more like Apple's band).

I originally backed the polished Revo, but I did so knowing the funding would probably fail. Now it's an actual choice...

So, polished, brushed or matte... I'm thinking that means 'more shiny than Apple's band,' 'the same shininess' and 'less shiny." Is the polished going to be too busy/flashy? Did Apple get it right with the brushed look compared to a shiny case? Is matte good for the steel watch or just aluminum?

Hi Exile714, thanks for backing the campaign anyway!

I'm not sure if you've read my previous posts but the forum moderators here have warned me a couple of times not to talk about my product and they had a valid reason for this policy (not fair to their paying advertisers) which I'd like to respect.

So let me try to answer you in very general terms, and it's applicable on ANY watch. Whenever anyone chooses between polished or brushed finishes on a watch, I think it comes down to a very personal choice. I've always been a brushed steel guy myself, and have always avoided the polished look because it's too shiny for me. However, if you've got the steel Apple Watch (which I do), that's a polished finish so any polished bracelet would match up perfectly with it.

The other consideration I think a lot of watch buyers have, is that while they both scratch just as easily, the fine scratches will be much more apparent on a polished finish than a brushed, which hides it better. Some people do buff the scratches off polished steel with some car polish (I saw a YouTube video of a guy doing exactly this very effectively on a steel Apple Watch case), but I'm not sure how often I'd want to bother doing that personally. In less than a week after receiving my steel Apple Watch, and having been very careful with it, I already had quite a few scratches on the left side of the case. It's inevitable.

I thought it was odd that Apple matched a brushed bracelet with their polished case...but now that they've gone that less traditional route, I guess everyone will feel more comfortable doing that for this AW...so the choice is yours. ;-)
