I have a question about the Vitero bands. Based on the photos it looks like the butterfly clasp mechanism isn't flush with the rest of the band, but juts inward... is that right? It looks like it would be horribly uncomfortable, but since nobody has mentioned it I'd guess that's not quite right. Can anyone remark on that part of the band?

I can reassure you that you don't feel the clasp on your wrist at all.

I have two Juuk metal bands and the OEM Apple steel link band. All 3 have butterfly clasps, and you cannot feel them at all when they are closed on your wrist.
