Still though, to live comfortably and sensibly, and not excessively, he's totally rich now, and if he's smart, he's set for life. I doubt he would be stupid enough to spend excessively and become all materialistic and greedy like some pop stars, pro athletes, etc. with their multi-million dollar mansions, sports cars and other expensive, unwarranted habits.
Considering he is apparently tithing 10% to the church, donating to public television and NPR, and has shown he isn't stupid , he'll probably live fairly modestly on his earnings.
More perspective. For the sake of argument, say his winnings total $2,500,000. After taxes (assume 25%), that leaves him $1,875,000. He donates 10% to the church, leaving him about $1.7M. Donates to other causes, leaves $1.5M.
Now, that's a nice chunk of change, and I'm sure he'll get endorsements or books or other things, so he probably won't have to "work" again, but I doubt we'll see stories of him whooping it up in his new Miami Beach condo.
I still think he should've gone to "Millionaire" and just gotten it over with.
Also, I guess he gets his winnings 120 days after he loses, so he's probably enjoying his new lifestyle about now.
