Ugh same issue here. I can barely hear it if my room fan is running. iPhone 7 Plus, iOS 10.0.2.

Anybody here updated to the 10.1 public beta to see if it fixes this bug?

Same here. Much louder on my 6s plus compared to 7 plus. Not sure 10.1 public beta has fixed it or not.

On the i7+ the typing sounds are about half as loud as the i6+. Is it just me or is anyone else's phone doing this? I liked hearing the clicks when I had my sounds on and it's up on full volume. Anyway I can change the volume for that?

I'm not saying it's not a problem, but I have not heard of this issue as of yet.

I liked the loud key clicks on my 6s Plus when I upgraded to iOS 10. Then I got the 7 Plus and was dismayed at how low the key clicks were. Hopefully 10.1 or whatever will fix it!

Huh. I actually like it. Always turned it off before because I thought it was annoying. Leave it on now.

Please go to apple.com/feedback and tell them.

Thank you

I read someone mention in the beta 2 thread that it's still the same. Apparently some other sounds have also become quieter.

I don't even like the new keyboard sounds. It sounds like you're playing Poppit. And I like my keyboard to be loud. And what I think is quite off-putting is the backspace key that is tonally different then the rest of the keys. It's out of place. That's why I use the Google keyboard. The iOS keyboard isn't giving me that keyboard feedback that I like.

I mean I'm sure I'll get used to it or maybe not. But for now I'm sticking with the Google keyboard. I type with purpose.

It's iOS 10, on all devices. They changed the actual keyboard sound files, as well as the volume. The key sound is fundamentally different now. The sound was redesigned with less in the high frequencies.

Yup, but the 7's feedback volume level is wrong.

I have a DFU restored iPhone 6s+ and 7+ running 10.0.2 sitting next to each other (both with ringer and media volume maxed out) and the 7 is like 1/3'rd the volume of the 6s.

Anyone here update to iOS 10.2 Beta/Public Beta 1? Are the sounds on iPhone 7/7Plus fixed?
