Hi all!

First post... I'm thinking of getting a 38mm sport watch, in the gold... looking through this thread makes me wonder about buying additional bands etc...

I really like the look of the gold watch with the Antique White band, and the midnight blue looks great on it too (seems you can buy the 38mm band separately) but then there's a whole world of other colours out there! In truth I'd probably not go too mad, but what are opinions about say the gold watch with the turquoise band? I know the pin wouldn't match but not too worried about that...

Doesn't seem to be too many gold watches about but I like the slightly subtle and feminine colour about it! :)

So...anyone remember the double tour I ordered and cancelled back in October because it wasn't shipped? Well guess what arrived today. I haven't taken it out of the box yet. I'm not even sure what to do since I was refunded for nonshipment. (How can they not know if they've shipped something or not?!)

Legally: I think if you receive something unsolicited, you may just keep it.
Morally: I would contact the seller; if the cost of return shipping is prepaid, then return it. If not, keep it with a clear conscience.

I got it this week. This is not a very good shot but it gives you an idea. It is the Combat Straps Aqua Toad with the black buckle and aqua minimal stitching. I am pretty happy with it, this is my favorite color and it has been really hard to find one in this shade of blue. The leather is a bit thicker than I am used to but I am guessing it will break in with time.

Love it! Do you mind posting some pics in this thread? I'm sure many would love to see it! https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/combat-straps.1938406/

Gotta love AliExpress sellers. He offered to sell me something else and adjust the price upwards (as if). Or I could pay him directly via PayPal. <sigh>

I agree. I think for situations were you can not wear a watch it's perfect. Looking forward to receiving mine!

Keep in mind, for security reasons some functions such as Apple Pay, the watch must be against your skin in order to use them. And, I seem to recall that the watch has to be against your skin in order to unlock it, but there may be a setting override for that.

Yes of course. There is no Apple Pay in Sweden so that is not an issue here. There is a setting to override the unlocking situation. I use my watch for fitness tracking everyday so this solution is only for very specific situations.

Anyone has any suggestions for straps for the rose gold sport?
Dora, I couldn't find any straps that I felt happy with when I had my rose gold sports. I upgraded to a SS and now I am happy with my variety of strap colors. I liked the rose gold, but I did find it limiting.

My wife has the 38mm gold with antique white. She wants navy blue, burnt orange, red, and pinkish leather bands. Anyone know of any without a silver adapter that won't clash with the gold? Thanks in advance!

Got my 38mm Hyperlink stainless steel band yesterday. I had to remove like 5 links, it was pretty long, LOL. I used my link removing tool I got with the Hoco band I ordered for my hubby.

Overall, I think this may be my new favorite band! It is nice and smooth with rounded edges everywhere to make it comfortable. It has a bit of weight to it which makes it feel really high end. It doesn't match the finish of the Sport, but nothing really does, so I have gotten used to that. It does have a bit of a matte/polished two tone effect, which I like. The lugs fit well into the Apple watch, same as all the other 3rd party bands I have been buying.

I like the looks of that, can you provide a link? I'm sorry if it is obvious, but I googled and didn't find anything that looks like that.

Greetings,
Thanks for posting - I was waiting to see what the reviews were on this band. Do you know how many links you can remove? I have super tiny wrists and had to pay extra money to get two additional links removed from my Apple Watch link Band. I love the two toned look.

Cheers,
Bobbie

There were three more links that could have been removed via the pins, so a total of 8 removable links. Two of those are half sized links that are adjacent to the clasp.

Thanks for posting your comments & pics! I ordered the 38mm silver Hyperlink too! Yours looks beautiful! Any issues with it sliding in & locking in to the watch? Also, did you get tracking info & if so how long did it take
to arrive?

I'm pretty new to the Apple Watch, I have the 42mm sport watch in the gold tone. Only extra band I've purchased thus far for myself is the pink sport band from Apple, but I think I might get a black sports band as well.

I did purchase a few third party bands (two Milanese loop style bands and one sports band style band) for my mother for Christmas so I'll try to post pictures of those once she tries them out and whatnot. I haven't seen the Milanese loop in person so I can't compare the quality of the third party ones to the original but we will see how they look once my Mom tries them. The sports band however seems really nice ( http://www.amazon.com/Red-Apple-Wat...srs=13397593011&ie=UTF8&qid=1450231880&sr=8-1 ) it's thinner than the original but still looks to be a good quality, not sure if anyone has tried this specific brand or not but I might by more if they expand their color range.

I did also purchase the Sena Leather watch travel case ( http://www.senacases.com/product/watch-case/ ) because I travel often and I wanted something I could use at home for charging and easily using in hotels to charge my watch and keep it enclosed while doing so.

I do think buying accessories is a little addicting and I'm having fun looking through this thread and bookmarking things I might buy later!

Mine doesn't slide at all, so no issues with it locking the watch. I did not get any tracking info, I guess they have issues with their fulfillment center and the tracking emails. I did wait several months for mine, but I ordered it before the Kickstarter had finished, so that was expected. I don't know how long of a wait there is now that they are shipping.
