Midnight Blue at five months. It looks black 90% of the time but the blue comes through when the light hits it just right.

Exactly what I was hoping would be the case.

Saddle brown about 5 months in. Considering I have quite a dirty job I’m surprised it hasn’t turned black by now
It never will
Actually after some time the leather will dry up and stop soaking oil from your hands, the color will lighten to a beautiful brown, lighter than it is now

iPhone 7 Saddle Brown case.
Has been on my phone for about 8 months, but I’ve been switching cases now and then.

About to buy one for my new iPhone X as well, leaning towards Saddle Brown again but I really like the Cosmos blue also.

Decisions, decisions...

Did you put any cream or oil in your case? It looks pretty good!

How many time do you have with it?

I have had my genuine Apple Cosmos Blue leather case on my iPhone 8 Plus, since launch day and it is holding up really good!

The leather is still scratch free and still feels really nice. At the beginning, it was quite slippery and smooth but now, it has a really good 'grippy' feel to it - kinda sticky (not literally!) like (I can hold it on my open fingers at 45 degrees and it won't slip off), like the leather naturally grips your fingers and hand.

I've tried using some other cases (when I get bored!) but I always come back to the Cosmos Blue!!!

Its formed a nice patina with most of the colouration happening around the edges.

I like it.
:)
Wow the sun really makes the blue pop. The photos on Apple's website look much darker. I reeeally like this.

I would say that Cosmos Blue isn't a light colour - its quite darkish but obviously not as dark as Midnight Blue. Its about as dark as this:

...but, yea, it does look brighter in certain conditions (when you're outside mainly - inside, it looks darker!).

It's definitely the lighting. It is much darker in real life. When they get some use, they turn almost black.

...yea, agreed!

Got my saddle brown for the iPhone X last Wed. It’s weird but already two spots where my fingers rest when I hold my phone are starting to patina but not the rest of the case so they look like dirt spots. Can’t wait till it all starts to get nice and coloured. I just casually wipe my hand over the case from time to time. I’ll take a pic when I’ve got something good to show

I have 2 days with my case. Yesterday I was working and I had the phone in my pocket for like 6 hours. After that when I took my phone I looked at the case and it was like this. It is normal?

5 months in. Looks terrible, IMO. What can I clean it with so that it looks better? I tried applying leather cream (same one I use on my car seats) and it makes no difference.

I don’t think that looks bad at all. I’m not sure you can get these cases looking nicely worn without them looking a bit battered too. Personally I think Saddle Brown is the only colour which works out well here - you can’t expect a light blue to get worn without it looking dirty for example.

Honestly it looks like it has mold. Maybe it's from too much use? Maybe giving it a very thorough deep cleaning with soap/water and a brush can make it look cleaner.
