So your HappyCell black one has a good fit on the watch? Maybe I should just ask for a replacement instead.

Actually mine isn't as bad unless I look at it from an extreme angle and I can also nudge it into better spot.
I am happy with it. It fits in the slots perfectly.

I am very pleased with the HappyCell Leather Loop I received through Amazon. I think this is the second version (they claim won't peel) and it is not so far.

The connectors are perfect. They are sized right and neither extend beyond the watch nor leave any gaps. No showing of the connector along the edge of the watch. It is smooth and comfortable.

My wife thinks it looks like silicone but that is more because of the horizontal stripes. It was a bit shiny but it is getting better.

HappyCell is a good alternative.

I ordered a red LL a while ago from seller "erockseven" on eBay, and since then it has started to peel . Is this a common issue? I contacted the seller but they never replied back.

I am considering ordering a blue LL, but have a few questions/concerns...

Common Issues
What are the common issues with the fake leather loop right now that we should be looking out for? From what I can tell:
  • Connectors not connection
  • Connectors either too short or extend beyond the watch
  • The metal of the connector showing through along the watch
Are there any other issues to look out for?

Sizing
Has anyone seen any Medium sized fake leather loops? My wrist is about 175mm and most of the LL I found have a length of 182mm, which would make the strap about 1-2cm longer.

Genuine Apple LL from China
On taobao (A huge chinese marketplace) you can get what they say are real Apple LL from "sidechannels" for about $99.

They come in medium and large and only for 42mm. Look perfect on photos and the reviews confirm its real too.

What do you guys think of those?

Sure.

;)

Who knows, maybe they'll mix in a few "real" ones and send the rest above average knock-offs.

However, I'm not sure if I'd be keen to pay $99 anyway.

I see everyone saying decent things about both Inkoo888 and HappyCell. Is there one generally preferred over the other? I like the ease of returning @ amazon, but the $15 difference at eBay makes it a lot more tempting.

Thanks.

I have the same exact question, the cheaper price on ebay is having me lean that way, but if I don't like it, Amazon makes returns a lot easier (although I did notice that the ebay seller does also accept returns, with customer paying return shipping).

Amazon charges return shipping too unless it's defective. I was able to return my HappyCell loop for free as a defective item.

Interesting. I've never been charged for return shipping with my Prime membership. Is that the difference? I print out a return label, put it on box, and on front porch. Easy Peasy!

My first red loop was somewhat like that, although it took me tripping and dragging my wrist along asphalt for it to happen.

Shouldn't happen during normal use, none of the 3 I have bought have done that.

Got my blue leather loop from inkoo yesterday. The strap is soft and is midnight blue but unfortunately it has the metal connector showing which is a shame. Waiting to hear back from seller. I'm impressed with the leather though. The two small black rubber parts next to the connector moving part seem too small to stop the strap moving. I've ordered two replacement pieces so hopefully I can fix the issue as they just pop out easily. Tape solution is too difficult to do as it makes putting on and off the strap too difficult.

I got another blue one from a cancelled groupon order. Item never shipped, but ended up getting here anyhow. I am glad I didn't pay for it. It looks nice, but the magnets suck. The ones in the HappyCell bands are really strong and never move. This one shifts all the time.

Okay, I'm going to order a HappyCell and see how I like it.
That's more or less what I had decided as well and then when I looked at eBay There was a 10% off if you buy 2. That meant 2 from eBay cost the exact same as 1 from Amazon... Uhg!

Yeah, but the HappyCell will arrive tomorrow since I have Prime, and like I said I find returns easier with Amazon, so I was willing to make do with one, especially with the recent enthusiastic reviews for HappyCell.
