I just got a leather loop for the 38mm from eBay. It was from this http://www.ebay.com/itm/251993979977?_trksid=p2060353.m2749.l2649&var=550858670332&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT

Unlike others it has size and I ordered the smaller size for the 38mm. It's smaller than the medium size of the 42mm Apple leather loop which the others I've seen are not. It feels OK, definitely less plastic like than one I ordered from Amazon (and returned). Too early to tell about durability but seems OK. The fit is good but not perfect, otherwise the quality seems good so far. Here are some pictures including how it looks on a 150mm wrist. The Apple leather loop on a 42mm and one I tried from Amazon on the 38mm would loop back and almost touch the watch.

I've order this one for my 38mm on Ebay, http://www.ebay.com/itm/381359923558?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&var=650551082346&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT & now I think it will overlap & loop back and almost touch the watch. Look how small my wrist are. Be honest, which one would fit me perfect without over looping?

That shows the same length for 38mm and 42mm. It's going to loop back and be very close to the watch. That was why I ordered the one I did. It was the only one I found with a shorter length.

So I'm going to cancel the previous one & order the one that you have :). Please send the link

Is there any metal showing at the connectors when you wear the watch? I'm thinking of getting this one.

No, I don't see any metal showing. See the pictures in my earlier post. The bands don't seem 100% centered so one side sticks out a hair, but it's very small. It's too small to measure, less than 1mm. The only real criticism so far is the shape isn't exactly the same as the Apple one. Where it connects to the watch seems a bit thicker in width than the Apple one which narrows quite a bit after joining to the watch. It's like they reduced the width at the watch to fit the 38mm but then kept all the other dimensions the same. This can be viewed as either a positive or a negative depending on what you want. I've only had it a couple of days so I can't comment on wear. But so far it seems worth the price. But I still wish Apple made one for the 38mm, I'd pay their price for it.

I've had this brown one (38mm) for about a month. Really like it, fits the watch great, looks good, comfortable, and is holding up fine. Here's the eBay link. It's a US seller with quick shipping:

Sellforless is pretty good. I actually just ordered this in black for a 42. Also got gray and dark gray sports bands from there and both are holding up fine over last month or so. Hopefully the LL is good quality as well.

Does the 42mm LL Black show metal between the watch and the band? It seems a few of them show metal from the band because the connection is a little loose. Look at your watch on your hand and see if the metal is showing on the band right under the the watch groove.

Where did you get this from?
Hey I remember talking to you before about the OEM vs non OEM LLs. Well my red LL clone started peeling and I returned it and am now thinking of buying an official one. Since you have both oem and non oem, would you say it is worth the price? And is there a significant difference between the Apple one and the clone? Like, is the material as plasticky as the non OEM? Thanks.

I won't have my LL until tomorrow or Saturday. But the sports bands I have are good, they have a small gap on the inside where the band is rounded on the inside but it's only noticeable if you're really looking for it and they are not loose at all. I work out multiple times a week and sometimes a day and they've been just as reliable as the OEM, I've banged them, caught them on things and all is good. I still plan on buying 1 Apple LL for the quality, but I like having different colors and such so if the quality is there for the price I'm in.

There is a difference between OEM and non OEM. The OEM is thicker and does feel like better quality. I bought two non OEM from different vendors. The first one I bought, 42mm blue has held up pretty well. It has not peeled and still looks new. I would switch off every couple of weeks between band. The 42mm black one just started to peel and I bought that in September. The blue one I bought in July, as I said, is holding up. I bought the non OEM because the heat during the summer here is bad and didn't want to wear the OEM. I am now switching between the black OEM and the blue non OEM. For the holidays my wife it's going to buy all me the new blue OEM from Apple. The company she works for gets a good discount from Apple so I won't have to pay full price. If I can find a non OEM black that can hold up I will buy it. The prices have dropped into the 20's so I can afford to try another dealer since the one I bought the good one from doesn't have any black left. The non OEM leather are pretty good but it depends on where you get it, the quality I have found is quite different. It looks like they're different manufacturers in China. The blue one was put together pretty well and the leather feels like leather. The black non OEM leather actually looked like the real thing and felt like it, but it didn't hold up. If you can afford an OEM, buy it. It is better quality. If you are like me and want to stretch ought the time on it lasting, buy a cheap non OEM. Most people won't realize it isn't an OEM version. Plus they feel fine on my wrist and the magnets are good. I hope this helps somewhat.

Thanks for this! I definitely am thinking I'll pick up an OEM midnight blue LL sometime soon, I really want a nice high quality leather band and I know the OEM will provide that. It may become my favorite band! I love my sport bands too, and also my clone ML. It is a great clone, the LL just wasn't. Anyway, it's nice to have different bands! I was thinking about getting 3 new sport bands instead of the LL, but I already have 3 SBs so I think the LL will be a better choice right now.

Did you get the 42mm Black Leather loop yet from Sellforless. If so, could you post pictures, if possible. Let us know if the metal is showing ,etc.

Thanks

So I recently purchased a red leather loop from sellforless12 on eBay. Basically it is an ok to very good band, with no problems with one side of the band where it meets the watch sticking out or too far inwards.

However the problem I have with the band is that I normally wear the S/M sized sport band and this leather loop band is apparently a M/L size. The long section of the band almost touches the side of the watch.

Too bad because for the money ($31) it is an ok band. Does anyone know of a quality red leather loop that is sold with a S/M sized band?

In for one $25.98, I'll roll the dice.

Looks nice, thanks for the post. wrapping a piece of paper around my wrist, and marking it and stacking 3 and a third dimes and a DVD, I figure I'm about 180mm.

Can't believe apple didnt make 38mm leather loops, but wouldn't buy one at 149.99 anyways.

My official white sport band will hold me over in the interim, until I get this thing sometime in December :)

I hope this guesstimate in sizing works out well going M/L vs. S/M size.

For reference, on the sport band, I'm the third to last notch away. So I guess it works
