Apple Watch Sport 42MM with black leather loop (and hairy arm) Totally changes the look of the Sport IMO.

Thanks for posting this, I've been searching for an aluminum sport w/ black LL image for a long time. I'm sold and getting one now. Do you like it?

Got a black leather loop today for my SG sport, like it so far but one complaint. The top adapter sticks out a little from the connector. Anybody else have this issue?

Mine should be here tomorrow so I can let you know then, but this sounds like a fitment issue on Apple's part. The watch and connector for both sport and watch are the same.

I could see them saying something along the lines of when you take it in, "well its on a sport which it wasn't designed for" etc etc.

Does it stick out if you switch it and put it on the lower connector?

Mine is ever so slightly like yours as well. I have the Blue Leather Loop.

That looks like it could be a defect. Can other Sport + Leather Loop owners please check their watch too?

I honestly don't feel it is a defect and it's not all that obvious to me. Looking at mine it just looks like there is extra molding in that spot to keep the band together which in turn makes it not so flush.

My short piece of the leather loop sticks out slightly but the bottom piece fits perfect. I only see the bottom piece most of the time so it doesn't bother me.

Wow....thanks for posting those. Of the adapter ever so slightly sticking out.

I was going on Friday to do some serious try on of the black and blue leather for my SG Sport. I haven't been able to order as I just couldn't pull the trigger on what to me is an obscene cost.

But it is a great looking strap (I've looked at several times, but never had on my watch). Between Click and Monowear Design I have 5 straps for like $105 "on the way".

So I thought I might justify the leather loop as my only expensive band (I might also get a high end leather or link non-OEM with the Click adapters) but 75% those are less than the Apple Leather.

I'll insist on putting on my watch and trying in store. Even if I have to purchase first, I'll then have them help me put on the watch and verify it lines up perfect. If still not in stock and I really like, I'll order on line and take to a store once it gets here.

It is one thing to pay a premium for Apple, for an accessory for a new product, but have it not be perfect? That would sway me not to purchase at that price.

If the claims are true that these bands are hand made and not machine manufactured then this is the reason why some exhibit this overlap more than others.

From the apple website: The Venezia leather for this band is handcrafted in Arzignano, Italy.

Same sort of issue stands true with handmade iPhone/iPad cases that I have reviewed in the past.

For me, it's really a non-issue. My white sport band sticks out a little on some of the corners too.

I'm trying not to be OCD, but at that cost, I just might be.

I would accept a bit off from the plastic sport bands (tho mine seems perfect) or an inexpensive non-OEM band.

When I went to look at bands today (they only had White, Black and Blue sport straps in stock) I also looked at the leather iPhone 6 cases. "Only" $64. Now I know, Apple developed an entire new band style for an entire new product. But at $150 for that little material, I may be a bit anal with it.

Here's my SGS + Black LL

Very interested in getting the LL for my space grey sport. Those of you that have had it a little while, when you remove the band in there any scratching on the inside of the aluminum body? I worry about the metal at the connectors.

Dropped by an Apple Store a couple days ago. I placed the Blue Leather Loop on my 42mm Silver Sport. They couldn't have been nicer or more accommodating about that, btw.
It was perfectly flush on both ends. No sticking out at all. However, if it is in fact made by hand, then some bands could have variations. At least that's my best guess. Now, if they had only had it in stock, I'd be wearing it right now! They only had the Brown one.

I have to say I love this band. It's very very comfy. Much different feel from the sport band. Looks great with the aluminum. Good combo.

I've also discovered a reverse setting of the band makes a more comfortable fit for me anyway. I always want the extra part of the band pointing out, not in.

I'm not sure if I missed this... but was there a particular reason as to why a 38mm version was not released?
