I can never really leave Android because I consider myself a vagabond when it comes to different brands. I like hopping onto to different brands to try. Variety is the spice of life like they say. And Android just has more different partners which means using their custom skin/ROM could be a totally different experience to me altogether vs a prev Android. Fresh new ideas get formulated. Last year, LG gave us Knock-On and HTC followed suit. Sony went water-resistant for a flagship and Samsung followed suit.

With iOS, it is just Apple. You get stuck using one brand. One company. More limiting ideas. Stagnant. Stale. My next phones might be LG or Sony just because I never owned a smartphone from them. I've owned many Sony products including a Sony Ericsson T616, but never an Xperia smartphone. That is why LG G3 and Sony Xperia Z2 are on my radar. Perhaps even an Asus, Meizu, Gionee, or Oppo/OnePlus. But after awhile, it does get redundant too. But not as quickly redundant like on iOS/Apple-only products.

It's a widely believed statement. iOS apps tend to be more polished. Better performing.

It was also widely believed that the earth is flat until a few 100 years ago.

Apps are written mainly by individuals with a wide range of skills, or lack thereof. I had plenty of crap apps which I installed on my iphone, and deleted after 1 Minute.

But right, it might be that for what you do with your phone iOS works out better. Actually when I first tested Android (2.*) I wasn't too impressed, but now with 4.4.* I will stay with them for some time.

One of the reasons I did Next 12 back in May on my S5 was to ensure that I could go back to iOS if I wanted to. By then both models should be available the 4.7 and 5.5. It really depends on what Apple comes up with but if it is better, I'll go back.
