I’m using iMessage. First, use the camera icon:



Then you use the effects button:



Choose the Animoji option:



And voilà:

Not a great physical resemblance, but I have quite a generic face. But it captures my facial expressions and tone beautifully.

I’ve just used the iMessage method and took a screenshot of the Memoji screen.

Although I can’t attach any picture anymore. It seems Tapatalk has got a bug now that hides the attachment menu behind the keyboard.

Looks like I can hide the keyboard by triggering an error state, that lets me attach the image.

Take a photo in a message to yourself with the Memoji effect, then press on the image and save to photos.
