Hmmm... odd. I changed it to "LG G4" and the forum software switches it back to "Lg g4" when I save the change. But adding Benchmark to the end allowed it to save as LG G4. If you want something else at the end there instead, just let me know. :)
Thanks for the help! Can we just have "LG G4 Phone" having Benchmarks might be a little mis leading. :)

Thinking about heading over to Best Buy to pre-order this device. Looks like it will be a real contender in the call phone market against whats out today. my G3 experience was pretty good when I had the device so I am expecting better with the G4? Any of my crack phone switchers picking up the G4? MRU, Jamezr?

Got it preordered through BB. There is a $100 BB gift card along with the preorder. Suppose to pick it up at my local BB on 6/04. :)

Haha nice! I think I am going to go the same exact thing. Its a killer deal and one that's kinda hard to pass up. I'm still going to keep my 6 Plus but I think that will be a good phone to throw on my other line where I want to use an Android device. The thing also that I am curious about it do I get the gift card when I purchase the phone outright or does it have to be apart of an upgrade of some sort?

I really like all the colors. I won't be pre-ordering but I'm seriously considering purchasing one once it gets released. I like the brown/orange leather but unfortunately it's exclusive to T-Mobile so I don't think it'll be available here. Don't know if availability for leather colors will be different for each region.

Do you know the att next pricing? For the g4? Seems like att hasn't announced its msrp pricing. One of the reasons I don't like next (or edge). Is each carrier has its own msrp for basically the same phone. Att next pricing on the galaxy s6 edge is the highest of all the carriers.

Hope att next comes in at $550 or so for the lg G4.

I found this for At&t.

The AT&T model is listed at $22.34 a month with the leather back, or $21.00 for the plastic, both paid over 30 months with the AT&T Next Program. Full retail pricing for the AT&T model is listed by Best Buy at $669. It is worth noting that Best Buy often prices their off-contract phones substantially above the true pricing of the carrier. You will also get a $100 Best Buy gift card when preordering the G4, this appears to only apply to contract or EIP purchases, so you may not receive this incentive if you buy off-contract.

I plan to stop by my Best Buy store today to get my preorder in and report back on any further details I can gather. Anyone else already preorder from Best Buy today? Hit the link below if you are interested!

Sucks if we buy the phone off contract that we can not take advantage of the $100 gift card that Best Buy is offering. I just might as well wait until it drops in the store now.

Just had a play with it in an O2 store - nobody else had it, not even Carphone Warehouse. They had a brown leather dummy, and the Titanium working phone.

It's lovely. The camera seems the real deal, and the screen is a massive upgrade, it's a touch bigger than the G3 but still OK.

When the SIM-free options surface I may dive in.

Sounds great, thanks for sharing your thoughts

Only downside of the G4 could be the battery life, according to some reviews and most of the testers sharing their thoughts over on XDA.

That would be a deal breaker. But with a 3000 mAh battery you would think it would not an issue huh?

I had the G3 and the battery life was extremely variable. Some days, it wouldn't die, other times gone by 4pm. But...

The thing I'm really realising with Android is that battery is massively dependent on what apps you use.

I use Google Maps 2-3 times a day, and that kills every single battery, iOS or Android, whichever manufacturer. So as long as I use Google Maps, I have to accept that it will kill 1% every 2-3 minutes as a standard.

The other specific things are Google Play Services/Facebook and Location (especially when Google Now is busy).

I have recently started using CM Locker as a lockscreen, it's basically almost identical in use to the iOS lockscreen. But it has an awesome feature that kills all apps that are draining the battery, every time you lock the screen. It has added SO MUCH battery life to my Sony Z3 Compact.

As for the G4, I'd expect it to be similar to the G3, with plus or minus 10% depending on how you use it. The G4 is a definite step up in build quality over the G3.

The only thing is I didn't particularly like the brown leather version, it didn't feel amazing in hand and the colour is a bit too light - BUT that was the dummy model so hopefully that's the issue.

The black leather looks to be the classiest option thus far maybe.

The camera was quick, the phone as a whole was just a step up from the G3 in every way. I think the staff had literally just put it out, because I had to set up the entire thing lol.

At the right price, it's a great phone and I did love 90% of the G3. So let's see :D

For some reason the LG G4 just doesn't hold any allure for me. Definitely not going to get this one.

Same here, I saw the Sprint variant on display at BB this morning and really did not care for it.

Maybe the Z3 has lots to do with that. Winner winner chicken dinner so far this year. :)
