Lg's new V30 looks exactly like the iPhone 8

They copied the curved glass into the body and stainless steel frame thats going into the 8 basically spot on. I can't imagine the iPhone will be much different on the outside than this.

Not sure you can really copy something that isn't out yet, and it's not as if Apple is blazing the trail on bezel-less OLED phones, they are themselves only following a trend set by others. Good luck to LG.

Looks more like an evolution of the lg g6 design language with hints on Samsung's edge design

Actually I think this is an excellent example of why the notch on the OLED iPhone is a good idea. This LG looks exactly like the recent Samsung phones with minimized bezels.

For 10 years the iPhone had the iconic and easily recognizable look with symmetrical bezels and home button. Going forward I think the all OLED screen (right to the rounded corners of the device) along with the notch will be a good way to identify it. Also very obvious with the new glyph that was found in HomePod firmware:

Whereas the LG and Samsungs look nearly identical (not even sure which is which here):

Honestly, assuming the leaks and dummy units are accurate, I think it iPhone 8 looks quite a bit different from the v30 and S8. The v30 does look a lot like the S8 though.

the s8 doesn't really have design similarities with the iPhone besides the curve in the screen. But yes all are slabs of glass.
I meant that the way its designed is very similar to the curved body and glass of the iPhone front and back and the rumored stainless still middle section of the 8

I agree it still screams big bezels to me. I miss that sharp cutoff like the iPhone 4-5. They should go back to that style and have no side bezels like current phones.

depending on how you see it. How long has this designed iPhone been out? going on three years yea? So yes its a copy of this generation of iPhone design.
I wish apple would copy some of the new phones designs honestly. they look much much better

Omg do you not think that LG and Samsung have been planing their own phones for a while too. Perhaps. Samsung knew Apple would be switching to this form factor so since their note edge in 2014 have been refining the design of their displays which culminated in the infinity display in the S8. Also perhaps Samsung knew Apple would be using oled on their iPhone 8 so copied them by offering it from 2010 onwards on all their flagship phones?

The HTC one M7 was released in 2013 and looked very premium.

yes that was the only one that I remember that looked really good. If anything apple steered towards similar style build just more rounded off. this Lg does have that same curved into the body on both sides style design of iPhone which they started. Not saying apple didn't pull design cues from the htc but it is different angles front and back.
