I don't like lock screen notifications showing without me wanting them to, but still want easy access to notification center directly from lock screen. That is where LI's infoshade was so handy.

I don't like the current implementation at all. I also liked the individualized icons on my status bar for each type of notification instead of the single square now (like it happens in android). Apparently simplicity has trumped functionality again. Apple style.

If you want money, I'll pay extra to enable LI4 on my iPhone 5. Allow both versions and see which one prevails the most. Don't be evil.

Have you tried putting on the show in notification centre...?

Yeah, I don't think my suggestion works. I was able to turn off banners, and remove the text messages from the Widgets page (so they only showed on the Notifications page), but when I turn Banners back on, it doesn't seem to show up on the widgets pages.

Honestly, this app is really wishy-washy. Settings that seem to work one time, don't seem to work again when set up the same way later.

David. I know you posted on this thread once already. If you're still reading this, I think we all need some help, mate. We're trying really hard to figure out how this works, and what the settings do, but it seems inconsistent at best.

Any help would be appreciated!

Im getting crazy... Is there really no way to have more than one widget at once? I cant get calendar and reminders show at the same time.

I had the same thing happen after I installed the latest beta version this morning (and the update to BiteSMS). I did a hard reset (Home + Power for 10+ seconds), and it was fine after it started back up. Hasn't happened since. Have you tried a hard reset yet?
No, doesn't matter. After a hard reset it shows the 1/4 size lockscreen and then dumps into safe mode. If I exit safe mode, it looks OK, but any reboot returns it to the jacked-up lockscreen.

EDIT: Holy Christ, I was installing "Lockinfo" instead of "Lockinfo 5".

Derp!!!

You have to uninstall and reinstall Lockinfo once you get into the phone. Double tap the home button and click on cydia. I couldn't click on cydia on the actual home scree.

Another update... Not sure what's changed

What's the version #? Cydia's taking a crap and not refreshing my sources.

I tried to install the latest beta that I saw (14-22), but it kept respringing my Verizon iPhone 4 (running 5.1.1). I let David know via Twitter, and he asked for my crash report (which I'm still unable to get, blah).

(Edit: it's now 14-45 on the beta repo, installing now and seeing if I still have the resprings).

14-45 works now on iOS 5.1.1 VeriPhone. =)

I love how people are installing beta versions of the app and expect it to work perfectly. Give the guy a break -- the jailbreak has been out for just a couple of days.

Does anybody know, how can i remove the (empty) filter bar? The square icon with the red dot.

I've been updating with every beta and I gotta say it's very encouraging to see the changes and fixes coming so quickly. While hopes for a return to LI4 functionality have been squashed by David's post here, we are seeing some changes and some additions based on feedback coming from users in the betas.

It isn't intuitive but you have to set these things to be on in notification center, even if you don't use it.

You need to make sure that both calendar and reminders are set to "on" for Notification center. Alert style can be none if you wish. View in lockscreen "on".

Most of us are simply reporting bugs, since the developer seems to be checking the thread.

What's wrong with reporting bugs?

Edit: He appears to be hard at work today, I've already downloaded three new versions today from the beta repo. :)

Version 14-45

- Blank/"Weather" widget still happens from time to time
- Notifications (Facebook, etc) can be launched from Widget view, but Messages cannot (tap to open setting on). Messages can be launched from Notification view, and individual app view (dunno what to call that)

Edit: Clarification, these are NOT complaints. These are bug reports. I appreciate the hard work the developer is putting into the Mod/Tweak/App (whatever you wanna call it).

I haven't found a way to hide the notifications icon on the lock screen but within the appearance menu of lockinfo the last option is show widget icon. When this is deselected as expected the widget icon is no longer on the lock screen. You can still pull the bar back up for notifications and down for widgets without the icon there.

What about these two issues after a respring

1) slide to unlock gone (literally, it's not showing and I can't unlock phone!!)
2) screen dims and only to have it bright again is to go into settings and touch the brightness control

No slide to unlock

what are your settings under screen dimming?

It's ridiculous. I feel like a total newb. I have no idea if what I'm looking at is LockInfo, widgets, notification center, whatever. It's not intuitive at all.

do you mean on the lock screen? You can choose if you would like it to display notifications or widgets by default on the lock screen. If you choose notifications simply pull the bar with the notification icon down to get to widgets. If you choose widgets simply pull the bar back up to get to notifications. Or just hit the widget icon for widgets and notification icon for notifications.

Am I the only one that is still not getting notifications in widget view? I get my calendar and the stock ticker and NCSettings, but e-mails, etc. only show up in the notification center view and the individual app pages.

Hmm, maybe to test better we should uninstall, and remove LI prefs files, then reinstall?

This is where I'll sound dumb, but I'm used to that. How do I remove the preferences file? Thanks.

iFile, User > Library > Preferences, then find LockInfo related ones and delete. Be careful what you delete though, if you delete something else you could mess up a different app/tweak. :p

Oh, and don't delete the license file, I assume. :)

I'll just come right out and say it - in its current form, LI5 is absolute garbage.

Trash. Doo-doo. Feces. Whatever you want to call it.

Now, LI4? Nothing short of Legendary. The stuff that people jailbreak for (certainly was the case with me).

If we never get anything close to the customizability of LI4 because the dev. said that he had to make code changes, then that's a total shame, cause no one wants what is essentially Apple's lockscreen info with minor tweaks on it.

Wake me up when we get something even remotely CLOSE to LI4. :)

Alright, I uninstalled, deleted preferences and re-installed.

I no longer get notifications on the Widget screen. So maybe that was an unintended benefit that some of us got...

I also now have a space between the Weather widget and the start of the Calendar section under Widget view.

It happened to only once immediately after a respring, I had about 7 calendar entries and a few reminders showing. I wonder...

Does anyone know if Activator has "swipe to unlock" type gestures and not this "swipe onto the screen from..." gestures?

I have them on. Might be that the icloud reminders doesnt show.

The same thing happened to me. After I uninstalled, deleted preferences, reinstalled, the first e-mail that I got showed up on the widgets screen. Every other notification including other e-mails have not shown up on the widget screen.

I also have the gap between the clock and the calendar

Yes, on the lock screen. I find this whole widgets vs. notifications thing confusing. What makes something a widget vs. a notification?

I really do miss the old lockinfo. When I get a new email and I tap on it (I guess I'm tapping on the widget?), it launches a preview of that email; however, if I then tap the envelope icon next to the delete icon, shouldn't it launch the actual mail app? For me it doesn't do that until I unlock the phone. What am I missing here? This just seems like a total mess.
