bug with RSS feeds

Every beta update gets us closer! Thanks to dev for working so hard on all of these bugs and improvements

Having an issue with RSS feeds - I have LI5 set to Notifications+Widgets view, and RSS feeds only seem to update when I pull down the filter bar to get widget window. That doesn't bother me too much, but I seem to keep getting 'old' RSS feeds that I've already seen and/or cleared from view.

Also - not all the feeds are optimized to be viewed from lockscreen. idownloadblog works great, but things like New York Times, CBC news, etc, open into a 'full' browser window and it's impossible to read without having to scroll from side to side and up and down. Can't pinch to zoom out either, so those feeds are basically useless...

I tried ISX for a few days last week and the RSS feeds/reader worked really well - the feeds were always updated on the feed page, and I think there was a pull to refresh option too, and all of them opened in a optimized resolution window so they were easy to read in the lockscreen.

Anyone else having issues with RSS?

Does anyone know what icon file to replace so that the horrible standard bitesms icon does not show up on the lock screen when I get a message? It's not icon_small.png (or the 2x version, tried those).

In biteSMS settings are you sending "via Mobile Carrier"? If you use this option I think you should get the stock messages icon showing in LI. If you want to send via biteSMS, then try looking in the biteSMS folder to replace the icon. Look in var/stash/applications/biteSMS.app. I'm not sure but the files to change may be bite-nc.png and bite-nc@2x.png.

In earlier Betas, tapping on a Phone voicemail notification did nothing. Now on 100 it unlocks the lockscreen. It used to take me to the voicemail screen. Anyone have it working where it takes you to VM screen?

For a missed call sliding the phone icon to the right (that's OK) or just touching the notification calls the person back. Nooooooo!

Also, sliding the notification left and deleting it doesn't delete the notification...it comes back after re-locking.

anyone have a bug where if you receive an mms picture message and pull down on the notifcation center it doesn't fit inside the assigned cell for that message but covers up other messages as well. also using bitesms.

I've noticed the same thing. I'm not worried about it yet though. Once he addresses the SMS/Phone selection to actually open the corresponding app then ill worry about that though. I've got no SMS add-on either.

No. It should launch the Phone app to the "Recents" section and clear the notification. I want my other "Tap to Launch" items to work.

Also, I'm getting a general unlock hang (slider stays on right and gets stuck) after answering a message with BiteSMS QuickReply.

Excellent thanks. Added altered bite-nc.png (and 2x version) to a theme. Now displays as I had hoped.

Now would love to get rid of that bar at the bottom of the screen, reduce the spacing on the notifications and section headers, and remove the black transparency from behind it all (it's hiding my nice wallpaper). Any thoughts?

Weather updating work yet?

I am still using the older version of LockInfo from Cydia's standard repository and have not tried the beta repository with the beta versions. So I am hopeful for a positive answer to the following:

I am a simple man with simple needs... I could care less about the notifications and widgets, but the real question is, has the basic "weather update" issue been resolved yet in the newest beta versions of LockInfo? In the older "officially released" version from Cydia, the weather update shows an error if you manually try an update and the weather doesn't automatically update either unless I unlock and open notification center.

Anyone know how to theme LI5?

I'm pretty sure I remember reading a tweet where the dev said he's not going to do much as far as theming directly with LI because there are so many other options to do it with other tweaks and apps. He wants to focus on NC/LS integration, for now at least.

Send him an email/tweet suggesting a selection for tap to call back or open recents in the phone settings. I'm sure he'd get around to it eventually. He seems to be pretty eager to implement popular ideas.

That shaded box started to show up in about 3-4 beta releases ago, I am hoping it was just added for testing purposes and will be removed.

So I've got some good new and some possible bad news if you don't like what i've come up with. The good news is i know found you are looking for. It is BulletinListUnreadAccessory@2x in the com.apple.springboard of your Noisy Elegance NC theme. Now the possible bad news. When you remove or edit the name of this file you will no longer have the green bookmark but the all the dots will be back to normal. The only solution that i have found is that you have to edit the size of the image because for some reason this also gives the size of your calendar dots. The original image is 60x50 and found that 25x25 is the best for the calendar dots and the bookmark not being so small where you almost wouldn't know it was bookmark shaped. The other thing you will lose is that the bookmark no longer go the the edge of the screen. I messed around with a bunch of different sizes and 25x25 was just the best. By the way your probably gonna wanna edit the size of the BullentinListVIPAccess icons because they wont match your new smaller green one. You'll see some of the experimenting i did in my screenshots. I've also included the icon size i decided to use.

I had known that BulletinListUnreadAccessory@2x.png was referring to the bookmark, it's just unfortunate that it doesn't actually theme the calendar dots, just scale and distort them.. There's gotta be some way to fix that, if only I had an even better understanding of the iOS ecosystem..

I'll try this out and see what I can do.

Media Controls Problem

Does anyone else have this problem? When I hit the home button twice to bring up the media controls, the clock doesn't disappear as it should and the song information is unreadable. I'm not sure what is causing this, I do also have Springtomize 2 (which is why the time is in green), but when I disable LockInfo altogether, this problem is no longer there. I haven't changed too many of the Springtomize Lock Screen settings, so I'm pretty sure its a LockInfo thing.

In my notification options for the Weather Widget, I have tried changing the "Media Controls" option to either "Show Time" or "Show Weather" but it doesn't seem to change anything; the clock is superimposed on the song information either way. Ideally I'd want neither to appear when I show the media controls, but that doesn't seem to be an option.

Also, two more gripes I still have:

I want a different order for each widget between NC and LI. For example, to have SBSettings at the top in the NC but at the bottom of all widgets in LI, with calendar at the top in LI. Another option that I could live with is to have the calendar show up at the top of LI without having it appear in the NC at all, but if I deselect it from NC, it defaults to the bottom of the LI widgets.

Mail: I know this is repetitive but it hasn't been brought up in a while: unread mail still doesn't show up unless it has come in since the last time I opened the Mail app. Also, there's no way to preview a message and then leave it as unread and still appear in LI, as I used to do all the time in LI4.
