iPhone LockInfo 5 just released in Cydia!!!!!

Hi everyone! 650+ posts, and going strong. Nice to see were all so dedicated to trying to help the dev and each other make this a top notch app.

One thing I've noticed so far. I was having a number of weird, quirky issue with certain settings not working, despite their settings being set properly. For example, despite the fact that I had set the Lock Clock to visible, it would be hidden until I just touched the slider (didn't slide yet, just put my finger on it), and then the clock would appear.

So, I uninstalled Lockinfo, started up iFile, and deleted all the preference files related to LockInfo except the license file one. That seems to have fixed a number of issues. What I think is happening is that with each new Beta release, the preference files don't get updated/refreshed properly, and it's leaving residual effects from previous version in the new versions.

I can't guarantee that it will fix your problems, but it definitely fixed mine, and now LI is working very well. I would suggest trying this if you're having "I have my settings exactly like <so-and-so>, but it's still not working!" issues.

Please see Dorkington's post #294 here for details. Search for files with Ashman (the devs last name) in the folder, and you'll find a number of them together. Delete all except the one with LICENSE in the name.

That's gotta be it then. I like how consolidated view groups all emails together, all messages together, etc. but it seems to introduce other problems like the one I'm having. I may have to switch back to notifications and widgets until all of these bugs are worked out.

Excellent thanks. Added altered bite-nc.png (and 2x version) to a theme. Now displays as I had hoped.

One thing I've noticed is that it only works in consolidated view. In notifications+widgets view it shows the stock messages icon.

Does anyone else have this problem? When I hit the home button twice to bring up the media controls, the clock doesn't disappear as it should and the song information is unreadable. I'm not sure what is causing this, I do also have Springtomize 2 (which is why the time is in green), but when I disable LockInfo altogether, this problem is no longer there. I haven't changed too many of the Springtomize Lock Screen settings, so I'm pretty sure its a LockInfo thing.

In my notification options for the Weather Widget, I have tried changing the "Media Controls" option to either "Show Time" or "Show Weather" but it doesn't seem to change anything; the clock is superimposed on the song information either way. Ideally I'd want neither to appear when I show the media controls, but that doesn't seem to be an option.

what theme are you using for the sbsettings widget? thx!

Send him an email/tweet suggesting a selection for tap to call back or open recents in the phone settings. I'm sure he'd get around to it eventually. He seems to be pretty eager to implement popular ideas.

I suppose the default behavior when touching a missed call notification in NC is a call back, which would explain the LI behavior.

Does anyone know of a tweak to change this default on a missed call notification? I'm looking for one in the meantime.

Not sure if it's a known issue already or not. I'm on beta 5.0.1-104 using consolidated view. This is my issue on the lock screen.

When I receive emails and I use the little "x" to "clear" all the emails from the mail bar, the emails are not being considered as read by the mail app. Now, if I slide the extra options from the right to left and use the "x" there, the message is considered as read.

I do have the setting on mail "Mark read on Clear" set to ON. So is this a bug? Because I believe on the non beta version, using the "clear" on the mail bar to clear all the emails marked them as read.

Installed the new beta and now I get no clock and slightly messed up NC appears! Any ideas?

Installed 148. The lock screen no longer lags when scrolling, and there is no problem swiping up to get to the camera anymore. On the other hand, deleting one e-mail from the lock screen removes all e-mail notifications. Not a big deal for me, but still it's probably not ideal.

but when i revert back to the fist version (1-13 i think) my LS is normal... any ideas why

also regarding the QR on smsbite thingy were you should toggle the custom animation option i cant seem to find it anywhere (neither first nor latest beta)

I'm pretty sure I remember reading a tweet where the dev said he's not going to do much as far as theming directly with LI because there are so many other options to do it with other tweaks and apps. He wants to focus on NC/LS integration, for now at least.

Thx, I thought it would be as easy as LI4, just replacing a png. I tried replacing UInavigationbarbackground but doesn't affect the bar where the notification icons show up, thx again.

yup..getting semi regular freezes or crashes....annoying but I can just about live with it. It is a beta afterall..once the functionality gets there, it will be time to refine it and fix the crashes.

yes quite a few crashes since the last upgraded... Especially in the consolidated screen when you tap on a notification for it to open...

Just upgraded to -170. Still having issues with BiteSMS and unlocking but I'm able to work around it. I've decided that "Notifications + Widgets" is probably going to be my preferred setup so I guess "Consolidated" problems won't affect me.

I'd still like to figure out how to make missed calls open the Phone app instead of dialing back. I never found a tweak for this...maybe David will add a toggle someday in the Phone settings.

Calendar Questions

Is anyone else seeing issues with the calendar entries updating? I'm in the consolidated view, and yesterday, I changed something on one of my calendar events (the location), and the event never updated on the Lockscreen. After 24 hours, I finally had to respring my phone for something else, and only then did it update?

Also, in the consolidated view, is there any way to dismiss the alert of a calendar event, without it removing the event? When the alert happens, it changes the color dot to an alarm bell icon, immediately to the left of the event. If you tap on the event name, it opens the event in a popup window, but does not clear the alert (still shows the bell). If you swipe Left to Right, and click the little X, it removes the entire event from the lockscreen. How can I just clear the alert? The only way I can seem to do it is in the Widgets + Notifications screen, where the Alert notification is separate from the Event on the Widgets page.

Any thoughts?

Is there a way to roll back to versions in Cydia? I upgraded to the latest beta (5.0.1-174) and it crashes my SB every time it boots. iPhone 4, iOS 5.1.1.
