I have the latest version of Lockinfo 5 installed on an iPhone 5 running 6.1.

After reading this thread, I installed "Lockscreen Clock Hide" to see what the LS looked like without the clock. It looked horrible, so I uninstalled it. However, the clock never came back.

If I uninstall Lockinfo, the clock returns and everything looks normal. However, re-installing LI causes the clock to disappear again. I've tried resprings, reboots, etc. to no avail. I'm running out of options, so if anyone has any suggestions, please let me know.

Thanks.

Have you tried "Settings > Lockinfo > Notifications and Widgets > Weather Widget > Show Clock", set to ON?

There are other settings in there I think might help.

Yeah, I played with all those setting. "Show Clock" is set to "On".

Firstly, thanks to those of you who have taken the time to explore LockInfo 5 and helped other people out with questions and concerns on this forum. It's always nice to have people "in the trenches" helping out while my inbox is getting filled with emails.

To those of you that have voiced concerns about the direction LockInfo 5 has gone, it's worth reading my blog http://blog.dba-technologies.com/post/33157907923/lockinfo-rebooted to understand the design thoughts I had when approaching this project. The decisions were not made haphazardly.

My rationale for the rewrite, for those of you who are not technical, is that the original LockInfo code base, the one that powered LockInfo 4, is three years old and is based heavily on code that existed back in iOS3. It didn't leverage new frameworks like Theos or new iOS frameworks. It didn't integrate will with the notification system and resulted in a lot of inconsistency with the state of the system. The iOS ecosystem is very different now and the maintenance costs of LockInfo had reached the point that a rewrite was necessary. And when it came time to rewrite, I also looked to simplify the overly complex settings that LockInfo 4 and earlier came with.

I do want to have satisfied users. I do want to continue to iterate on LockInfo 5 to provide a tool that everyone will enjoy using. That will not be LockInfo 4 on iOS6 - that's just not going to happen. But it will be a new LockInfo that supports some of the features of LockInfo 4, but many that LockInfo never had. It will support a standard plugin architecture that will allow it to use any NC widget.

If there are usability issues that you feel need to be addressed, email me. I may not be able to reply immediately (I'm focused right now on license issues and critical bugs) and you may not see those features immediately in the product, but I do want to continue to improve LockInfo.

Thanks for the explanation. All makes sense and fully understand the reasons for the direction you're going in. The only thin I would say is that the main thing I use LI for is to have my next few calendar events and most recent unread emails/SMS on my homescreen. The update seems to have moved away from that, so if it's possible to update it so it can be tweaked to operate more how I like to use it then I would be very grateful.

Keep up the good work.

These glitches will surely be ironed out.

What I'm wondering is what happened to my Lockscreen popups when I get an alert? I hear an alert, look at my lockscreen, and the item may be in view in the LockInfo 5 list and it may not, in which case I have to scroll down and look for something that might have just been an alert. Am I doing something wrong?

+1. That "my world at a glance" makes LI the most indispensable thing on my phone.

Nice that they put it on sale when the cydia account servers were unreachable for me.

I tried purchasing but it wouldn't let me. And I'm not paying the $7.99 they want now.

I see the sale ended at 5pm. WTH they do know people work until 5 right? I just got home.

Oh well loss of $$$ from me.

Thanks very much for popping in. :)

Glad to see you'll be continuing development, I'm especially interested in supporting NC widgets (something that's happening already?), so maybe I can get back some of the functionality that way. Also, are there any plans on bringing back the homescreen option?

Thanks again!

Does anyone know if there is a Cydia tweak that will clear an icon's badge when a notification is cleared?

I've noticed with another tweak that uses the OS notification center that if you set your default alert times to 2 days for Calendars in settings app it will show all events for today and tomorrow. Not exactly the same since it won't show any if your only events are further out than that but it's good enough for me.

I just emailed David with a list of questions, but if anyone here can help with any of these, that would be great!

  • First, bug report: Occasionally, on the lock screen, the original clock will suddenly appear superimposed over the lockscreen, in it's original spot. I seem to get this fairly consistently if I'm just sitting at the lock screen for about 10 seconds doing nothing. Anyone else getting this?
  • Also, occasionally there will be a gap between the weather/time widget at the top and first widget below it (in this case, the calendar). Anyone else?
  • How come if I have unread emails, they don't appear on the lock screen? Right now I have 7 unread emails that appear in the notification center, but not in lockinfo. It wasn't until I got a new email that the icon appeared in lockinfo, though with 8 emails...but only the newest email showed up. Now that I've read that, the other 7 unread emails aren't visible in lockinfo.
  • Can I view my calendars and mail and favorites all in the same view, like I could do with LI4? The sole reason I used Lockinfo was so I could get my whole digital life at a single glance on my lockscreen, just by powering on the screen. Separating the mail and calendar defeats that ability.
  • Can I make the text for the calendars smaller? I remember you used to be able to change the font size.
  • Can I remove the slider to make more room for notifications?
  • I'm having trouble with the RSS widget. The feed I'd like to add is http://rss.aviatorjoe.net/3/KSPS.rss (among others), but when I type that in and hit search, nothing pops up.

What version of LI are you running? Have you added the beta repo and updated to that?

This is exactly what I use LI for too. The update seems to do away with the features I found most useful in LI4.

I have a silly question before I purchase.. I have two devices ill be installing it on, will I have to purchase a license for each?

Kind of sounds like the developer didn't hear from us happy folks, and acted on reports from those who wanted something else out of the tweak haha. Hopefully we'll see a return of some of these simple lock screen features soon. :)

What a mess!!!!

JAILBREAK FOR IPHONE 5 -- LOCKINFO

Nothing is working like it should. I'm trying to get my lock screen to stop being spastic, but nothing is working. Window Shade is gone, weather add-ons are crashing my phone, the built in clock is riding over the top of the LockInfo version, Exit Safe Mode is popping up every time I try to add something from Cydia... Holy crap!! How about if you give us EXACTLY what was on iPhone 4, with no glitchy new bells and whistles? Just port everything you HAD into the iPhone 5. It's ridiculously simple. It worked perfectly fine before, but now, nothing is meshing and I have no ability to customize what I want.

Wow, this is a serious train wreck!!!!

Guess I'm one of the few with no issues (beta fixed clock) and liking the nice clean and iOS integrated look of LI5. Thanks David!!

I have spent a good chunk of the day playing with both LI and IntelliScreenX,for anyone that wants to try both,DON'T have them both installed at the same time!! I learned the hard way.Anyway in my little shootout I found IntelliScreenX to be better for my usage although they both have much room for improvement,I wouldn't be surprised if LI is better once things get worked out.

any news if he's gonna allow the older lockinfo on iOS 6??

Based on the note above from the developer I would say no.

In iOS 5, this is what I had:

What do I need to do to get this new LockInfo to look how I had it before (ignore the part boxed in red)?
