Look What I found in My house!

Man I thought it was going to be something good - like a million dollars, 20 lbs of coke and a gaggle of prostitutes.;)

But nope, just a spider. It's probably a good thing that you didn't kill it, because then in the afterlife, you know it would've been eating you or something.:p

where in texas do they live..?
i live in texas and the most i see is maybe a brown recluse or a banana spider every so often..
although i did see a black widow in our porch light a few months ago. i didnt even want to walk past it i was so freaked out.

well, they live near texas a&m, about an hour and a half away, in the middle of nowhere. its in a town that has a population of less than 1,000.

a big huge scary spider!

Being the nice vegan that I am, I let him go in the backyard..squishing this guy would have resulted in a lot of guts and such!

Is that a wood spider also called a brown spider (not a recluse or a brown widow)? I have had a couple in my home. The first time i saw one I screamed and hopped on my toes. I have never acted like that before. The next day I asked a coworker about them. they don't harm you, they just look awful. Now I just tell it to go away.

You do know that if you put a house spider outside you will kill it and the same goes for the outside spider to indoors. I also get those big banana spiders. those are actually pretty in a gross sort of way. Keep the spiders around your house. They kill and eat mosquitoes and beetles. I just kill the widows. I haven't run into any brown recluse ones yet. I hope to never run into those. I fear those more than black or brown widows.

Holy crap.

And why any sane person would shoo a spider under their bed, only to have it come back and nest in your mouth while sleeping, is beyond me.

:p

I just found something similar to the spider in the original post and let the little guy out.. It didn't want to co-operate and I think a few legs were broken off in the process. :(

I prefer to let them out rather than killing them... My mother always said that finding a spider means good luck, and advised not to squish them. It's stuck with me ever since.

Plus they do eat some of the other bugs I dislike more, like mosquitoes. Works for me :D

I used to live in Texas and we would get banana spiders all the time out in my fruit trees... needless to say , we don't live there anymore! LOL I'm terrified of spiders - even pictures of spiders ( although i'm getting better! ) - so I don't miss that house much!

I was running through the trees in Florida was I ran directly into a web from one of these creatures. Now, think of how big this spider is, then imagine how big the web is. Next, imagine someone pulling a pair of sticky pantyhose over your head. That's what it felt like. I couldn't get it off my head, and it was completely covering my face, head, and part of my neck. Talk about CREEPY!

Omg that made me sick hearing the description of that spider web.

I remember a long time ago when i worked for Circuit City I saw the most horrifying spider ever. It was a huge fat spider seriously hand sized with hundreds of little nasty babies crawling all over it. Anytime you got near it it hissed(!!!!!!) and the babies would scatter. We eventually got it and most of its babies under a box then blowtorched the box. It was seriously the most horrifying spider ever.

Oh and then there are camel spiders where im at now that like the shade so where you walk they walk and they're fast but they arent really a spider so they dont bother me much although they're still creepy to see...

They make noise?

A noisy spider would amplify my fear by like 5x.

It was the first (and thatnkfully only) time in my life I heard a spider make a noise and I litterally went running and jumping in fear. This thing was sooo damn scary it was unreal. 4 of us went running out of the bay when we saw it only one person stayed to kill it.

omg, dont even get me started with this junk!!!!!!!!!
i seriously am on the edge of my chair!!! Some small, 1 inch spiders or so i can handle SEEING... i still dont like them, but i wont pass out in fear. If i saw a spider as big as any of these, i would faint, omg though are sick!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And that centipede is right up there in grossness!!!!!! Luckily im from a part of world that doesnt have tons of these nasty big spiders, like the caribbean or south america, etc.

PS: My opinion- kill the suckers. It scares me, ill scare the **** outta it with my flying mallet! I let the little guys live, but if the big ones are in my domain, or even in my bubble, it will suffer direly.
