Hi, just sign in to comment on this. I have the same problem here. iPhone 6s on iOS 10.0.2, and I literally can't keep a conversation using the earpiece since the update. Call Apple, the made me recover the phone... no good.

I'm in Argentina (so no official Apple service), and I don't want to take the phone to a hardware repair if there is any chance this is a software problem.

Sorry my English is rusty.

I updated my iPhone 6S to iOS 10 and as always I immediately reset all settings and configure it from scratch.

However I've noticed that the call volume and the speaker volume is way lower than with iOS 9 - and I have it set up to max volume. I compared it to my father's 6s, which is still on the latest iOS 9, and the difference is quite noticeable.

Has anyone else experienced this issue since updating your 6S to iOS 10????

Hi all. I've solved this problem cleaning up the earpiece with a toothbrush. It wasn't a problem caused by ios10, so... Earpiece looked cleaned, but after i cleaned it up, now all is perfect.

I am also encountering the same issue. After updating to iOS 10, my ear speaker volume on my iPhone 6 Plus is about 50% of what it was before the update. I've tried messing with the hearing aid setting as well as the noise cancellation to no avail. Unless I'm in a very quiet environment, it's very difficult to hear phone calls even with the volume maxed out.

Spoke with a high level Apple Tech rep and she confirmed that engineering is aware of this issue and it's on the list to be fixed in a future software release.

I'm having the same issue on my iPhone 6 and iPad Pro. Thought I was losing my hearing for a min.

I did notice this on my iPhone 6 on iOS ten (but rarely used my phone for calls in that month or so). I noticed it straight away on my iPhone seven that I was always trying to readjust the volume settings when on calls and using speaker. It seems to have settled.. maybe it was address in 10.0.3?

Same issue here after upgrading my iPhone 6S from iOS 9 to iOS 10.

Already filed a bug report but the issue still exists after today's update to iOS 10.1

I'm having the same issue didn't realize it until I couldn't hear my phone ring when I always noticed it before. I even was on a call and thought something was up. Not sure what's going on at apple but they are just not that great at software like they used to it seems these days.

They need to fix this volume issue it's quite annoying.

Yes. Why is the volume so low. Can't the developers submit the bugs when things are in beta. I don't get how these go through.

iPhone 7 volume is all messed up. Having volume bar low basically sounds like it's off where as before it was much louder

I have noticed a big difference in Bluetooth music volume as well. Anyone else?

Playing music in my vehicle over Bluetooth with my iPhone 7 plus seems to be about half the volume of my wife's 6s plus on ios9, this is with volume limit in settings set to max volume.

I've found numerous bugs on 10.1 that weren't there on 10.0.3. Hopefully the next release isn't far off

I thought iPhones always had low call volume issues...

My 4, 5, and current 6 Plus all had/have low call volume. I almost always use the speaker now.
