The M1 chip seems to be very hungry for most people. How’s everybody’s battery life? Not a good start here
4% in 33 minutes is pretty normal if you ask me. Its in the 10 hours range Apple promises you.Hmmm, lost 4% for 33 minutes usage, hopefully it’s settling down.

Also, it depends if you have the cellular version or not. My 2018 11' pro drain faster than my 12,9 because I'm connected to cellular.
Looks like you’re spot on, 1h7m usage 10% gone ?4% in 33 minutes is pretty normal if you ask me. Its in the 10 hours range Apple promises you.

Nope, does it make a difference? Are you using it with the magic keyboard then?
Nope, does it make a difference?
Never knew that, thanks for letting me know, got no need for a magic keyboard, use my iPad as a tablet then switch to my MacBook for laptop mode.Yes, the magic keyboard uses quite a bit of extra battery is what I have found on the 2020 model.
To be honest the battery life seems to be quite random right now, today I used 13% in 45 minutes all of a sudden and found the back of the unit quite warm after just browsing the web with 30% brightness. This is with the magic keyboard, I did turn off the backlight on it compared to having it on yesterday so I would have expected a better battery life than the 7 something hours I got yesterday but I seem to be getting less…
You still having bad battery life? What apps are you using? Screen brightness?Ive actually just switched the backlit off until I need it on the MK as it doesn’t seem to switch for whatever reason.
I’m tempted to pick up the brydge keyboard to see if this battery issues are related to the MK. I don’t think it is completely that to be honest. Just a shame the m1 battery life isn’t as good as the m1 Macs

Still early days for me but today seems alright, using safari, battery life seems to be better at the moment.
Bit of both I reckon lol.Well only on my 2nd charge but battery life seems a lot better but I’ve only used safari
Currently on 2 hours, 44 minutes screen on time with 80% left. Either it’s getting better or a lot of the drain was due to YouTube and I did watch a fair amount of 2160p content.
honestly reckon after iOS/iPadOS 14.4, battery life hasn‘t been quite the same, it’s even not that great on 14.6 and 14.7 builds, even the YouTuber zolotech says in his iOS update videos that his iPad has been having some terrible battery life for a while now, remember recently apple told people to restore their iPad if they were having bad battery life, that didn’t seem to fix the issue for most people. On my 11 inch seems like my battery life percentage goes down every few minutes. That’s with low screen brightness and just browsing the web.
Same M1 seems to be killing it. very odd. hoping 14.6 helpsOn my 11 inch seems like my battery life percentage goes down every few minutes. That’s with low screen brightness and just browsing the web.
restarted? Do you mean reset the ipad or just rebooted. thanksI restarted after the last post I made about high battery usage and then charged to 100% again. Have been using it for 3 hours at 15 minutes now and used up 35% with the magic keyboard attached all the time. This is more like it and more in line with what I expect. Same mix as before between Safari and YouTube.
