There is availability in Halifax Canada store now. 9:15 am Atlantic. I was able to order a 12.9” for pickup today.

Order was marked as ready for pickup, so I cancelled my pre-order from April 30th. Which status hadn’t moved since I placed the order. ?‍♂️

Yes, there’s stock available now, just checked it, must have gone live at 9:00 ADT. Although I’m actually thrilled that my online order has progressed, there is a downside, since it can’t be cancelled now, and I would have to return it should I have gone with the in store pickup route.

I guess I don’t mind waiting a week or two longer, though.

It‘s good to see another Haligonian here, though!

I can’t find any 12.9” 1TB 5G Silver models around anywhere. That was the only model I was considering swapping into.

Those are tough to find; that’s what I wanted too. Was able to get an 1TB SG + Cellular though. I will still check around locally for a silver today before I break the seal. Happy either way though!

Looks like I was successful! Have a 1TB 12.9 ordered for pickup today.

Edit: Checked availability again and the location I'm picking up from is now already sold out for new orders. Hopefully my order still goes through. It looks like I just barely squeaked in past the finish line. And I ordered right at 6am.

Edit: Lol my iPad that was scheduled for delivery June 2-9 just hit preparing to ship. Of course.

Anyone try to do a trade-in at the store of an old iPad when buying the new iPP? I was going through checkout and it said I would not be able to trade-in at the store, so I didn't end up buying today. Too afraid of dealing with shipping it off. Wouldn't be a big deal but I would be driving 2 hours to the Apple Store, and I don't want to go up there if I can't trade it in there in person. Guess I'll just try to be patient and wait until this initial surge dies down. So jealous of everyone getting their new devices.

Welp. my 12.9 256 lte is out for delivery today but looks like i was able to grab the last 12.9 1tb lte model in my area for pickup tomorrow.. On the plus side, I was able to include my current IPad on a trade in and have it on monthly installments, where the 256gb I messed that up on the order and paid full without the trade in!

So looks like if the store is just express pick up, you can still do the trade in; however, they won’t take it at the pick up time. Hope this helps.

I'm in a 'dangerous' position as I have WAY too much available credit on my Best Buy card. The screen on these new iPad Pro's are so good, I noticed the quality from a few feet away. I dared not come any closer as my wallet would become extremely lighter.

Sadly, I still haven't finished paying for my iPad Pro 11" 256GB LTE......must resist.....

The ability to bring your trade in to the store varies on a store by store basis. For example within New York I don’t think you can bring in a trade in to Grand Central, but you can to World Trade Center.

I eventually ordered the 1 TB version for pick up tomorrow morning and I will be bringing in both the 256GB version I get delivered and my 2018 iPad to turn in. I am picking up some accessories today.

Was able to reserve a 512 11" today at my local store, will CNX my 256 11" preorder as soon as I have it in hand! Also went with he logictec case since it uses the smart connector, finally replacing my 2018 IPP.
