that's the problem with these order with Adorama, they have a "disclaimer" that it cannot be cancelled as it will be passed on to manufacturer a day or so after and you will be charged. from their perspective, the order is considered "complete" once yours is submitted to manufacturer
better to give them a call and be clear on your options. when you ordered, what was the timeframe indicated? I had a screenshot and used it as a basis that it should be 4-5 weeks (at that time I ordered).
FWIW, some folks would still await longer period due to the "discount" but at least they should be very clear/transparent on the timeline.
I regret ordering from Adorama. Mine was a BTO 13” M1 16GB 1TB SSD. Took advantage of the $100 off.
The gave an estimate on shipping (order in Dec. shipping in Feb.) after that there was no way to track the order. It was being drop shipped. Any check with Adorama just gave the same answer.
Finally got the unit. Purchased AppleCare for it. Some sort of special “no fuss” sign up. Took 3 days of chat and email to get it started. Apple said they had never heard of it, to check with Adorama. Called Apple on the phone and the tech said they weren’t aware of Adorama.
Two days ago the keyboard and trackpad stopped working. After chatting with Apple, took it to Apple store. They confirmed the problem and said it had to been sent in for repair. After much discussion the person went to talk with someone. The came back and said they normally might have been able to exchange it but since I hadn’t purchased directly from Apple, that they couldn’t so either I could talk to Adorama about getting it exchanged or they would do what the initially said which was to ship it into repair - two week turn around.
The $100 wasn’t worth it at all.
